Combo player names - the correct spellings

Recommended Posts

From 1982/83 these players all scored but I would like to get the names correct:

Terry WELCH / WELSH (Falmouth Docks)

Alex MacDONALD / McDONALD (Mullion)

Dave McCONNELL / McDONNELL (St Agnes)

Was "Spike" Drew's first name Malcolm? (Perranwell)

Did St Dennis have a Dave Burnett and a Danny Burnett? YES

Did Newquay Reserves have a Dave Evans and Dominic Evans?

According to the Cornish Guardian/West Briton these are the games in which one or all of the goals were scored by Danny, Dave or Ross. As I've found out the newspapers were prone to putting the wrong goalscorer down (Alan Carey had a few goals to his name for Mousehole even though he was playing for Mullion at the time!) so their word is all I have to go on.

02/10/82 - Falmouth Docks 5-1 St Dennis - Ross Burnett

23/10/82 - St Dennis 2-0 Truro City - Danny Burnett

30/10/82 - St Dennis 3-3 Pendeen Rovers - Danny Burnett (2)

06/11/82 - St Dennis 2-3 St Agnes - Ross Burnett (pen)

27/11/82 - Mousehole 2-2 St Dennis - Danny Burnett

18/12/82 - St Dennis 2-4 RNAS Culdrose - Danny Burnett

22/01/83 - Pendeen Rovers 2-2 St Dennis - Dave Burnett

29/01/83 - St Dennis 2-1 Mousehole - Danny Burnett (2)

12/02/83 - Ludgvan 3-1 St Dennis - Burnett (with 3 different first names I wouldn't want to presume who scored)

19/02/83 - St Dennis 1-3 Helston Athletic - Danny Burnett

06/03/83 - RNAS Culdrose 4-1 St Dennis - Ross Burnett (pen)

19/03/83 - St Dennis 2-1 Illogan RBL - Ross Burnett, Danny Burnett

26/03/83 - St Dennis 2-1 Falmouth Docks - Danny Burnett

09/04/83 - St Dennis 2-6 Penryn Athletic - Danny Burnett

16/04/83 - Helston Athletic 3-3 St Dennis - Danny Burnett (2)

23/04/83 - Mullion 1-1 St Dennis - Danny Burnett

05/05/83 - Truro City 2-2 St Dennis - Ross Burnett
