Westhamfan21
St Austell defender Marcus Martin is going to be in big trouble after knocking ref Stuart Kane to the floor after being sent off. Martin launched a barrage of abuse at the ref before running at him, grabbing him round the neck and knocking him to the floor. He's certainly in big trouble. I've never seen a ref attacked like that in 40 years of covering football. quotes from Twitter from kev Marriott

ECPL
Just had a message from a friend of mine at the match and he is absolutely gobsmacked. Martin may not just face a sine die but he could be charged with a criminal offence. Amazing what red mist will do in the heat of the moment. Unfortunately there is no place for this in any sport. cornishteddyboy
Penzance 1-2 Plymouth Argyle. Argyle had the slight edge, went in front before home side equalised. One or two Plymouth lads quite good. Moral victory for Magpies as only team to score against the Pilgrims in 9 games.

Let's hope we don't have another season with a 2 month break. It's made for a mad end to the season and made for some really silly results and weakened teams. With all the football called off to save the pitches I havnt seen many good ones recently. They all look in very average condition. A hard summer ahead to get them back in good condition. You may get a slap on the wrist when you're out on the street and mis-behave, but there is no leeway in sport for such behaviour. Criminal proceedings as well, absolutely that should happen. Stop the idiots who think they can do what they want without repercussion. I hope they do, and he gets the full weight of the law dumped on him. I can't tell you how mad I am that this sort of thing has happened, and you think the mitigating circumstances are because you think the referee had a bad game - really. Guest
Paolo Di Canio only got 12 games. A Sunday League player who pushed Robin Gregory (I think he was called Mark Nicholls) he got a long possibly season ban - maybe someone from Penryn knows. There is absolutely no excuse or mitigating circumstances that can defend this situation.

teflon123
Not only should the player be banned but the club need to feel the pinch as well. The club signed this player so need to take some responsibility for his actions. Points deduction and fine is what the FA should be handing out. You cant just assault someone if you do not agree with their decision or remarks. If that had happened at Trewoon Social on a Saturday night you would have a criminal conviction against your name. Woman & Children would of to seen this so lets no shy away from the severity of the matter. Lightening does obviously strike twice at Poltair, & should not be allowed to get away with it. A hefty fine, & points deduction should follow to prevent this happening again. This could make National Headlines
