Godolphin through to league cup final after 2-1 win. Goals in each half from Paxton and Brown.

With no Eddy upfront for St Austell  could never see them scoring many and their goal didn't come until added on time and too late to change course of match. Even then it might have been an og as came off a defender after Prynn headed a Watts corner towards goal.

I'll probably get caned for this next comment but I thought the referee Ciaran Barlow had a very good game. Must have booked about seven G players, one of which (Dilley) got another and so off, while only about one for the Lillywhites, but overall I think he did well.

Camelford  4. -  1. Stoke Gabriel. ( 0 - 1) HT

After a disappointing first half with Stoke Gabriel scoring five minutes before half time, a much improved second half performance saw the Camels score four excellent goals through Dan Balsdon, Andy Boxall, Marc Gusterson and Mike Steele and secure another three valuable points.

Evening Keith.

Launceston equalised in the 1st half. :)

St Blazey really worked hard tonight to win this one. After Saturdays disappointment Tornado put St Blazey 1 up with a great strike across the keeper into the far corner. St Blazey looked in control before the ref gave a free kick and St Blazey fell asleep and left two unmarked out wide. The ball in found another player unmarked who headed home the equaliser. Was it even a free kick in the first place? Looked a good header rather than a push.

In the second half St Blazey created several chances. One goal chalked off for offside. Launceston keeper pulled off one good save from Drummond. Launceston always looked dangerous but St Blazey finally re took the lead with a very similar goal to the first. This time Drummond running on to the through ball and firing across the Launceston keeper who could only get a slight hand on the shot. Launceston threw everything at St Blazey but they held fin for 3 huge points.

7 wins since the beginning of March. Amazing turn around. Good job we gave St Austell and Bodmin a good head start this season. Else they'd be in trouble.

On to Newquay on Thursday night.

A difficult trip to Bolitho last night, against a very hard, well organised Parkway side. Looks as if the title might be going down to the wire. Suprised Phillips St.Austell were dumped out of the Cup aswell, weird results going around. Sounds as if you are now safe  Paul after your win last night at Launceston, hard place to visit, we go there this weekend. Any line ups from the game?

I must stand corrected, showing my age. We are home to Torpoint !

Charity Cup Semi Final Result

Dobwalls  0  Mousehole 2.

Highly entertaining game last evening at Poltair which saw a tremendous rearguard display by the Dobwalldefence undone only the dying minutes of normal time.

Crowd of 71 spectators which was good despite many other local fixtures being played.

Poltair playing surface in excellent condition bearing in mind the amount of rain dumped from the sky this winter.

We are no where near safe yet. So many matches between the bottom sides so teams will pick up points. St Blazey still have to play Newquay, Stoke and Camelford twice. So all to play for really.

If we stay up I hope we can keep several of this squad and with a few new faces we could easily push for mid table safety and beyond.

This season could also be a record points tally needed to not be relegated from the SWP league.

Oh dear ! Oh dear! Oh dear ! yet another wheel off the bodmin bus .

Excellent effort from the lads last night. Hung on a bit lol .....  Stringer and Coulton out of retirement were great . Gav up front toooo . Our ex goalie Elphick came on second half as a striker and played like a bowling ball lol. Colwell , Lewis and Bass were tireless in midfield and the back 3 held strong. Good all round effort boys.

Great to see a couple of my all time favourites too . Lance Bailey ( still a class act  ) and Lee Bevan who did not come on.

Well done boys.  Think its still Bodmins title.  They are a good all round team . Miller in goal was funny . He kept the banter going with us behind the goal.

Watched a very entertaining Tavistock v Witheridge last night. Witheridge started well and looked dangerous.  However,  Tavistock took the lead when Lewis Dawe shot home from a corner. Tavistock looked very dangerous going forward with their pace. Though,  Witheridge who had been on a winning streak also caused problems especially when attacking down their right. Hobbs made it two from a clever knock on from Coombes. The Tavi keeper made an excellent save to keep the advantage. Fyneboy made it three before half time... It's fair to say that the second half was comfortable for Tavistock.. The only things of note was the fourth goal that was set up by a clever back heel from Hobbs and finished with aplomb by Crago. Saying that the Tavi keeper still had to pull of a decent stop from a volley towards the end. A good game played by two teams in the right spirit with both playing some decent stuff.

Very entertaining game. Mousehole did well to finally beat the Dobwalls keeper, Josh, who in my opinion was Man of the Match.

Good finish from Nixon for the 1st goal.

These 2 teams go at it again on Saturday I think?!
