Football at Bickland Wednesday 24th 7-45pm

After an absence of 5 seasons Holsworthy return to Falmouth for a SWPL (Premier) game.

It was October 2002 when Holsworthy last appeared and recorded their first ever league victory 2-1 in 22 visits to Bickland Park.

Holsworthy are managed by Bobby Oaten who played for Falmouth 1966-68

Should be a stern test for Town's defence with seasoned Holsworthy strikers Ian Rowe and Allan Clarke again in opposition and in form.

It was a Clarke hat trick which eliminated Wadebridge from the League cup(3-1) at Bodieve last Saturday.

Wadebridge currently hold a 100% league record in SWPL Div.1West.

For the "statos" The first meeting between the clubs was Oct 71 when Holsworthy ended Falmouths 42 SWL match run winning 1-0 at Upcott field-this being one of five league wins in 44 encounters.

It was 20 years later that the Magpies gained their first point at Bickland (0-0) before their first league win, there in 2002.

The balance has swung towards Holsworthy of late as in the last 11 games(1999-03) Falmouth have only won on three occasions.

biggest FT win. 8-0 at Bickland 1985 and 6-0 at Upcott Field 1995.

Biggest win for Holsworthy was 4-0 at home 2001.
