Another depletion in the Falmouth team an Saturday in an important league game all the more for these youth games to be played midweek.

Been there before Big Al and I think the general reponse was that it's not logistically possible for these lads to be travelling so late at night etc

That seems a little far fetched - probably they are all out clubbing at the weekends until the early hours!

This weakens a team so much and the only answer is for the team to be allowed to call off their Saturday match. This will never happen because of the draconian rules of the cornwall fa.

It is indeed unfortunate that the likes of Falmouth cannot postpone the match due to, I think actually fairly modern FA directives rather than draconian Cornwall FA rules, but hopefully manager Andy Westgarth will spin it around and rejoice in his club having players of high enough standard to represent, and do proud, our county.

It's a total of about 6 games in a season, hopefully the SWPL clubs have enough resources to help out.

So I guess I must have been lying then Big Al. Never have been one to know what's going on in the game.

You certainly do not like points of view put forward. Everyone has different ideas about things !

Of course they do and you're entitled to yours. But yours is an opinion and mine is a factual account of why the U-18s have a problem with midweek fixtures and long journeys. Safeguarding is uppermost in everyone's mind and it has to be taken seriously. If those players wish to go out on the lash in their own time then their parents bare the responsiblity. When you take U-18s away you then bare that responsiblity yourself and must ensure that they get home safely.

:c:Yes indeed a great win not only for the boys but for Glyn Hooper and his coaching staff who have put a tremendous amount of hard work in putting this talented squad together.

Yesterday's win was based on a solid all round performance. Chances taken at one end (plus the charitable own goal). Plus a defensive quality which stood firm when under pressure. Lost count of the number of corners surrendered but despite the height of the Gloucestershire centre backs only two headed goals were conceded.

Great team spirit on a day when everyone can now look forward to a home 3rd round tie against the West Riding of Yorkshire. Details of date and venue in the coming week. Tie to be played on or before Sat 12th Dec.

Cornwall and the West Riding have played each other on one previous occasion, back in 1994/95 season when W/R were the holders of the trophy. Will post up details of that epic fixture played at Ossett Town asap.:c:

No decision on date or venue until next Monday at the earliest, watch this space.

Gather an agreement on the date of the fixture has been agreed.

Await official statement from the County Office.

Isn't there an unofficial agreement to use Treyew Road?-Would it be the 5th.Dec when Truro are away as the 12th.Dec.is F A Trophy Round 1 and draw not yet made.

When everything has been agreed with our Management Team, West Riding County FA and the FA Refereeing Dept. then an announcement will be made.

Lets' leave at that for the moment.

With three Falmouth First team in the squad it is of much interest and time to know the date when the club will be minus 3.

That is very true !

Bet its a right barrel of laughs at your house , I've kept quiet long enough. +That cross sometimes stands for a positive perhaps you should write one one day Big Al.:P
