West cornwall 0-3 Trevenson

Tough battle, some big tackles all over the park, both had good spells in the game.. Looking to break eachother down but trevenson had too much in the end and were clinical.

Goals :

Johnny jones x2

Nico penfold

West cornwall keeper made in first half one best saves i have ever seen in junior football and apparently its his first season playing great find for them... Best luck to west cornwall for rest year quality they have they'll bounce back and will be competing for title come end season

Shocked with the west cornwall v trevenson result. Not looking as promising at the moment for them.

Good 3 point away at Constantine on a very long grassed pitch. Very difficult to play football on and the slope didn't help certainly. Had to clear dog mess up just before the start of the second half. First game won and hhopefully more to come! Coys

I'm not sure about that amazing tacking from Paul the Herbert hollow just cos his got 1 hip noneed to give every 1 1 hip a well deserved red card.......

Not too sure about your amazing grammar either Bud ;)

Think Troon will be the happier of the two teams.Certainly seemed to get more of the big decisions go their way. Very soft penalty given but no pen for Gwinear near the end. Deliberate hand ball just before Troons second. The red card was very harsh too, yellow card for sure!!

West Cornwall 0-3 Trevenson

Not so sure why people are shocked with the result. We're in a bit of a transitional period. Lost a few players from last year, and I've been put out of action for the foreseeable with a fractured cuboid (whatever that is!!). So we've got a keeper stepping in who has never played 11 a side football before. Coupled with the fact Trevenson are a strong side this year!!

We actually started the brighter team, and but for some last ditch defending then the crossbar would have took the lead. Fine margins in this game. Trevenson then took the lead against the run of play and didn't look back. Brooker in the Trevenson goal made a couple of good stops and we had one cleared off the line, whereas they took their chances when they came. Was fairly scrappy overall, some big tackles going in, and some moments of very good football from both sides. Barry Penfold was a rock at the back, Sam Fenton was everywhere and Johnny Jones led the line superbly.

Only downsides, couple of dubious lino calls 1st half, not saying they would of led to much but chances to put the ball in good areas and something could have happened, and the ref.

As for us, 4 points from 3 games, not the end of the world, no need to panic. Was always gonna be tough this year with a new look side and a different manager. I'm sure we will get it right soon, we just need a little time the same as anyone else. So if you see results not going our way, don't be too surprised from now on!! We go again, onto Saturday and another tricky game away to Troon. We just need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and turn the results and performances around, we're the only ones who can do that. Stick together and get behind Dan and we won't go too far wrong.
