The season begins tonight for the recently appointed County Under-18 manager Glynn Hooper as the first of three open trials takes place at Cornwall College, Camborne, starting at 6pm.

It’s still not too late for any player, aged between 15 and 18 years of age, as of the 31st August 2015, to apply to take part. After tonight there are two further trials planned over the next ten days with the second one on Thursday 16th July at Brannel School, St Stephens (6.30pm - 8pm), followed by another at Callington Community College on the following Wednesday, 22nd July 2015, again from 6:30pm to 8.00pm.

Anyone interested in more information or being nominated can still contact Richard Pallot or Claire Summers-Evans at the County Office on 01208 269010 or email richard.pallot@cornwallfa.com or Claire.summers-evans@cornwallfa.com

After the initial three trials, chosen players will then be invited back culminating with the first friendly of the season planned for Thursday, 10th September, against a Plymouth Argyle Under-16 squad.

This match will take place at the home of National League South Truro City as part of the club’s sponsorship of the squad this season.

This will also be the venue for the squad’s first competitive match which is a FA County Youth Cup match against Guernsey on Saturday, 19th September.

The first of the three Cornwall U-18 open trials went off successfully last night.

There was a good attendance of players representing clubs from as far west as Mousehole all the way across the Duchy to Wadebridge in the east for the coaches gathered together for the evening by new county manager Glynn Hooper.

It's now onto Thursday with the next one taking place at Brannel College, starting at 6.30 until 8pm.

Don't forget though it's still not too late to attend, all you have to do is contact either Richard Pallot or Claire Summers-Evans at the County Office on 01208 269010 or email richard.pallot@cornwallfa.com or Claire.summers-evans@cornwallfa.com

Another brilliant turn out from Cornwall's up and coming young footballing talent tonight at the County Youth U-18 second Open Trial held at Brannel School, St Stephens.

The third one is next Wednesday (July 22nd) and being held in the east of the county at Callington Community College so that the whole of the Duchy gets an opportunity. It starts at 6.30pm.

To save a bit of time on the evening it would be handy if players could send in their details beforehand, all you have to do is contact either Richard Pallot or Claire Summers-Evans at the County Office on 01208 269010 or email richard.pallot@cornwallfa.com or Claire.summers-evans@cornwallfa.com
