Deano11
that is an impressive record what league are they in ???
Guest Hayle Caesar
If a striker is scoring that amount of goals in that amount of games the player in question has got to move up a league! In a strange way he is actually underachieving.
Deano11
good point but i suppose it depends, if he is enjoying his football where he is and does not wish to move any higher then fair enough to the guy
Guest rellends
why not just ask the question how long is a piece of string?
Rob Hosking
good strikers also like to play with their mates and achieve alot more via helping their team win promotion into the bigger leagues. lots of players play senior football and win nothing. Guest Hayle Caesar
I reckon every player apart from the league champs and cup champs win nothing in senior football! :clapper:
sammo 66
this is a hard question to answer as you can only really judge players in your league . as i personally have seen very little falmouth helston league football its hard to say if they have better strikers than the mining league . if i was going to pick one i would have to agree with gerrard8 . nick mills over many seasons now has been scoring goals for fun . and as a defender i know he is a nightmare to mark whenever you think you are on top of him thats when he punishes you . as for saying he should play a better standard i think thats his decision . and general i think thats a bit harsh mate you know from your playing days not all good strikers play senior football
treasure parks no 1
The best striker i ever played against was Steve wherry, he had it all skill, pace and a knack of being in the right place at the right time. Dominic pullen not the fastest but a big guy who has always been strong not the hardest worker but always finds the back of the net. Junior football i would have to agree with sammo66 nick mills played with him and against him i would call him a sniffer of goals.
gerrard8
sorry darren but i dont agree that he is a sniffer ,i think he works hard for his goals and his strength is a major asset,i remember sammo 66 telling me about him in 1994 when nick was 17 saying he never gave defenders time and got stuck in i dont call that sniffing. stevethedoor
Its like a millser love fest on here bet he never knew so many people liked him! 88 goals only cause they promised him a burger for each goal scored have'nt seen many better than Duane at portreath this season and Alan thomas who I think plays for St Keverne on a sat and Crowntown on sundays is pretty good

stevethedoor
well if u start to pass the ball to your own team a bit more u never know what might happen Heard there's a good new young striker at Robarts that fancies himself as bit special wot do u think not bad for a jonny foreigner with a gammy leg eh! Look forward to seeing your happy smiling face on Sunday :yahoo:
Julian Chenery
What about the three at Borough - Stuart Fort, Dave Wilkinson and Dave Wright? Fort and Wright are both young and Wilkinson has had experience in senior football.
gerrard8
only telling the truth steve, millser has been good for a long time,i dont think it was burgers on offer it was pints and thats why senior football never apealed to him.
stevethedoor
Yeah no doubt Millser is a quality striker, he even set me up for my one and only goal last season so top bloke in my books. good jod they never offered you pints for the goals you scored that one pint of shandy might have gone to your head :drink:
