Guest
Spotted on the DEVON FA website. Tipton St John have been commended for their attitude and behaviour in their recent Devon Senior Cup match with Tavistock Association. Referee Paul Mallett has contacted the County office to commend the team, stating that 'despite a 5-0 defeat Tipton St John remained respectful and friendly in their attitude throughout. In his email to County Secretary Paul Morrison, Paul commented... 'Unfortunately I have to spend too much of my time as a referee reporting players, officials or clubs for unsporting, rude or offensive behaviour' and expressed that 'if more clubs displayed this attitude to the game I am sure there would not be the shortage of referees that we are experiencing currently.' We would like to take this opportunity at the DCFA to praise Tipton St John for their good sportsmanship and positive approach to the game. Well done Tipton and better luck next year!
