Guest Butchy
Does anyone know the answer to this............ Can a club approach one of your players without giving notice if they play in a league that you don't play in ? ^_^
zebedee
.Butchy the correct answer is NO ............but we all know very few take any notice of this rule . Just because the teams concerned play in different leagues and would not involve ACTUALLY transferring the player teams seem to think that 7 day rule does not apply . WRONG .....ANY PLAYER AT ANY LEVEL HAS TO RECEIVE A 7 DAY NOTICE VIA THE CLUB SECRETARIES .
Guest Butchy
Thanks Zebedee, that's what I thought. - what to do now though..........................
zebedee
..DO THE RIGHT THING .............REPORT THEM FOR AN ILLEGAL APPROACH TO CCFA .....WISH MORE CLUBS WOULD ACTUALLY STAND UP AGAINST THE RULE BREAKERS
oldasitgets
Not convinced Zebedee. If it's a different competition (for competition, read League) then there is no overlap of ownership of players. If you carry the logic on, every time a Sunday club signs a player registered for a Saturday club, then they'd have to give 7 days notice. Even scarier, vice-versa! If you're right, then CCFA Ltd can expect a big improvement in their cash flow when they get their act together.
Topcat
Zebedee is exactly right and more clubs should learn to stand up for themselves! Junior clubs could lose ALL their players on a Saturday morning cause a Senior Club has all it,s players attending a wedding eg Newquay
John Mead
"Saturday Clubs" only need to submit seven days notice to other "Saturday Clubs", likewise "Sunday Clubs" only need to submit one to other "Sunday Clubs". Same thing applies to "Midweek Clubs".
