I presume Saltash signed on all the Tintagel players and then directed them to Treyew Road.

I believe Tintagel were members of The Cornish Senior league at the time.

Reading the Newquay Centenary book- In June 1951,The Football Association held its Summer meeting at The Atlantic Hotel with the 70 strong party led by Sir Stanley Rous.

One of the main issues was to address the Football League who had banned live Radio for its League matches.

tintagel was the correct answer. they were a cornwall senior league outfit who made it to the easter monday finals day and faced fellow senior league team in the now defunct runners up match. ironically bugle, the senior cup winners were also a senior league outfit
