Holywell 1 LC Phoenix 2

Launceston College Phoenix just about clawed all three points from a game played in near apocalyptic weather conditions. Holywell hustled and harried the alumni team and must have thought they'd take a point from the game when they equalised with just minutes to go. Rob Hicks put Phoenix ahead in the first half with a well placed finish but Holywell fought themselves back into the game. Leon Fowler grabbed the Phoenix winner with about 90 seconds left after his cross found the back of the net. Phoenix look certain to at least finish third, though with the top three teams in Duchy 2 scheduled to play each other there is a sense that the league title could go right down to the wire.

The White Hart Hotel man of the match award: Ryan Cox- solid at the back.

Duchy 1

St Mawgan 1-1 Polperro

As others have mentioned above, played in truly horrific conditions but both teams gave it all in a gritty relegation scrap type of game.

Got to say Duchy 1 has been wide open at both ends of the table this season, 4 or 5 team fight for the title and still bottom 5 still capable of escaping the drop. Good stuff.
