Taniachairmangodolphin Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 Come along and watch the div 1 west winners against the div east winners who have both had a great season in the premier league and who both have so much still to play for kick off at 3.00 pm
100%cornish Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 I keep looking to make sure thi game is still on so far so good should be a cracker i think Exmouth will be too strong for the G today so im going for a 3-1 to Exmouth Ollie Pinnell and Jamie Lowry got there work cut out i think looking forward to seeing former fa vase wembley hero with Truro Kevin Hill play should be a cracker of a game
100%cornish Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 Watched the G BEAT the Exmouth today you would of thought the g where the league leaders they played so well and scored through Josh Fearon but could of won by a greater score , i have never heard a manager moan so much as Exmouth manager Richard PEARS the poor linesman in front of me had so much stick from him he must of been so glad to hear the final whistle. I was goin for mom OLLIE PINNEL the g captain who was awesome today but i have changed my mind and given the man of the match to the whole G team they where brilliant every 1 of them .Thanks for another entertaining afternoon soaked thru to the skin but thats the joy of watching footy
Nemesis Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 You might want to calm down Stephen, you'll put yourself back in hospital ! - Just to put this into perspective, Exmouth Town 0 v 2 Newquay AFC, the only away side to have won at Exmouth in 21 months. Perhaps you can watch some FA Vase games at Mount Wise next season. Oh, and we lost 2-3 today at home v Launceston, just to cheer up the 'other' side of town.

It's NOT all about Newquay.........
Nemesis Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 How about... Derek Martin is stepping down as G boss at the end of the season as reported by Newquay Voices Tom Howe ?
100%cornish Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 Hi Nemesis im in and out of hospital all week having radiotherapy if you really want to know i prefer watching the g because i get entertained there by a bunch of Local players who give there all for there team and enjoy there football so Newquay have beaten Exmouth this year the end of season table will say who has had the best season let me think about that it could be the G and not many teams can say they have done the double on Bodmin beat Parkway beat the league leaders and got to the semi final of a cup competition in there 1st season . If you are so concerned about my health Nemesis you could bring me some choclates when im next in hospital i have got a growth in my right kidney and they cant seem to shrink it i had 1 in my left kidney but they got rid of t but now i got it in the other kidney and watching the G is the best tonic for me if i was watching Newquay every week i would be pushing up the daisies by now . I do hope Newquay come good again because my family had a lot to do with them my grandad and dad where strongly linked to them and i have watched them for years but now follow the G .
Owngoalcornwall Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 With comments like that nemesis why would 100% cornish or anyone else for that matter want to go to mount wise??!! Hardly a way to attract fans is it by putting them down. "The only team to win away at exmouth in 21 months" is that the best you can come up with? Is that honestly your claim to fame and the highlight of your season?
The Villains Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 How about... Derek Martin is stepping down as G boss at the end of the season as reported by Newquay Voices Tom Howe ? SHOCK HORROR......... If it's been reported and is out there already.... What is your point..... Don't worry about other teams, you need to worry about your own!
Nemesis Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 And if Idiots like you can't see the joke, then you are the joke. Stephen is well known in Newquay, as is his medical condition. I was merely pointing out that by getting too excited, he may need further hospital treatment... get over yourself man. As for Newquay AFC, I defend my team as any true fan of their team would, again if you have a problem with that, it is just that, your problem. Stephen, like you I have had two major Ops in the last 12mths, I hope your condition continues to improve and look forward to seeing you at Mount Wise again before too long.
The Villains Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 You need to work on your fishing baits, sorry bites........ Cause the ones you using are catching the wrong fish!!
Nemesis Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 You need to work on your fishing baits, sorry bites........ Cause the ones you using are catching the wrong fish!! Minnow !
100%cornish Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 I will be up ther to watch Newquay play Bodmin Nemesis last game of season so lets see how Newquay can do against them on there day Newquay are a good side but they have got to sort there defence out and need a tall commanding goalie they do have really good players in Gibson and Jack Bray Evans and Drummond but thats all The G dont have 1 good player they have a team of good players
The Villains Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 You need to work on your fishing baits, sorry bites........ Cause the ones you using are catching the wrong fish!! Minnow ! Is that part of the crap family? Typo error in there somewhere!! lol
Gripper Stebson Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 Good win for the G today,Exmouth no mugs ! Just been looking at the SWPL web site, Exmouth lost at at home 0 2 to Buckland on the 21st sept 2013 in the vase, so Nemesis is wrong! http://www.swpleague.co.uk/Cups/FA%20Vase My top four now..Hate to say it.. 1 Parkway 2 Saltash 3 Exmouth 4 Ivybridge
Brianmooreshead Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 What a result for Godolphin. THE success story of Cornish football of the last five years Don't know if the earlier comment about Mr Martyn stepping down is true ! I should think he'll be a hard act to follow
Nemesis Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 Totally agree that G have been a wonderful addition to the SWPL, certainly spiced things up around these parts. Tom Howe is the Sports Editor of The Newquay Voice Newspaper, he has gone public tonight with the Derek Martin story, no idea what reasons, if any, are behind it. I know he is a massive Man City fan, even before they were famous outside of The Kippax Stand, perhaps he will take in a few more of their matches in Europe next season. Well done on todays result G, always tough to beat the top sides, good luck to Derek wherever he may go.
leedsunited Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 23 points between newquay & godolphin in the table, thats quite a gap. The pendulum isnt even swinging, its firmly on godolphins side, & would go as far to say newquay not even on the 'G' radar at present. 23 points is quite a gap. Derek having time out or wanting a fresh challenge..
Taniachairmangodolphin Posted April 27, 2014 Author Report Posted April 27, 2014 Derek will be stepping down as first team manager at the end of the season but will still be massively involved with the club
Mossy Posted April 27, 2014 Report Posted April 27, 2014 Would just like to say that Derek Martin stepping down is sad news! Great bloke, great manager and formed a really good tight bond between players and Gossy and Maccer. For what he has brought to the godolphin over the last 12 years I'm sure will be missed by supporters and everyone who has been involved in the club through his time. Good luck to you mate in what ever you do in the future
100%cornish Posted April 27, 2014 Report Posted April 27, 2014 It wont be the same without hearings DEREKS voice booming at the ref lol seems a silly time to leave just when the team are doing so well he could of waited until next season after the G had won every trophy going ,hope a outsider is not going to be brought in to manage the team hope Tony and John will take over from him
