CornishCanary Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 with the news today of the Cornish being recognised as national minority group for the first time, is it time for a Cornish National team? UEFA rankings? friendlies versus the Faeroes and South Sudan? If Gibralter can do it, can we?
David Bray Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 We have always been the Cornish National Team. This season 'we' had to travel to Oxford in England to win the South West Counties Knockout Cup. As well visiting foreign parts such as Newton Abbot in the English County of Devon plus Gloucestershire again some foreign county. Trelawney lives
TheolderIgetthebetterIwas Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 Entry fees and fines would have to go up fer them ther jollies.
Guest Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 And you are still English. I have Cornish ancestors and still class myself as English. Get over it. Got to be a wind up. What about the Isle of White or Yorkshire doing the same thing. Beyond a joke
Home Waters Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 As said - as Cornwall is now an official minority with the same status as Scotland, Ireland and Wales, well; Will the CCFA now become the CFA - Cornwall Football Association Will they have a seat on FIFA As said World and European cups beckon for Cornwall Clubs could be in the Champions League Cornish Referee's at International competitions. Will Cornish players playing in England require an International Clearance Certificate from the CFA Of course there will be the Cornish FA Cup - maybe no matches allowed that day in the rest of the world following representation to FIFA. Regular TV matches for the Premier League of Cornwall - loads of money! Must be loads of other advantages that people must be looking forward to............
TheolderIgetthebetterIwas Posted April 27, 2014 Report Posted April 27, 2014 More elephants than Cornish folk, good job we don't make good Chinese medicine.
