Launceston College Phoenix strengthened their promotion claim with a hard fought victory over a physical and direct Gunnislake team.

Darren Webber scored a brace and Joe Davis rounded off the alumni team's shift with the third goal, a superb team effort involving a series of passes from one side of the field to the other.

Division 1 : Grampound 0-0 St Dennis

Grampound dominated the game throughout but came up against goalkeeper in inspired form. Grampound's indifferent finishing is a worry to their manager, but the team played some terrific, pacy football, only to miss a myriad of chances and those they got on target were somehow kept out by a fantastic goalkeeping performance. Special mention should go to 16 year old Tallen Michael, playing his first season in men's football and given a man-marking job in this game, who kept Carl Rickard, playing for St Dennis tonight, quiet throughout.
