So the biggest day in Cornish Football is fast approaching... In my opinion the JC is bigger than the SC. More teams to beat and more sides in it.

Great day out for both clubs.

Helston possibly go into it as favourites, but Veryan have undoubted quality and boast an impressive record.

Anyone have any thoughts on it? Who's going?

Would Helston be the only team ever to lose en route to the final but end up winning it!?! After losing at home to Lizard in the west quarter-final 1-2 they could be county champions on Monday!?! Bit like Denmark at Euro 92 after Yugoslavia got kicked out!! ( For those old enough to remember )! Although I managed to play in 5 senior cup finals I ain't done too well in the junior cup and think Dron could be quite right in a sense. You need to win 7 games to be Junior winners and only 5 to win the Senior trophy. Bodmin have beaten 2 teams from the combo league albeit good ones in Wendron and Mullion and one from the west division Porthleven to get to the semi when they beat fellow premier side Saltash 2-1 at Blazey. The Saints had it slightly tougher beating a top combo team St.Day under the Poltair floodlights and a west team Perranporth but had to beat Torpoint away 2-0 and local rivals St. Blazey at Newquay 3-1 in their semi. Are Veryan the first Duchy 4 team to make the final!!? They won 3 home games and 2 away to make it to the East area final where they beat Pensilva 3-2 at Bodmin and have only conceded 5 goals along the way scoring 24!! Helston only had 1 away fixture and 4 at home but their run included great wins over fancied teams Illogan 3-2, Titans 3-1 and Chacewater 2-0 in the west area final at Port. They have scored 20 and conceded 8 in their run to the final. Whatever way anyone got there it's still a massive achievement and the best one off day in Cornish football to play in. Especially for the junior lads I think, playing in front of a decent crowd and not 3 men and a dog waiting for someone to get the ball out the hedge in the wind and rain!! Good luck to all the players, hope you have a great day to remember. :-)

Good luck Veryan, bring the cup back to the Roseland.

I think that Gary Whieldon should select himself to start because he can control the tempo of the game from the middle of the park.

I hope it's a good game of football and both teams enjoy the day....but we all know you only really enjoy it if you win!
