Ivybridge 4 - 2 Launceston

Ivybridge needed to bounce back from Saturdays game with a much improved performance against Launceston. The game started as Saturdays game with Ivybridge pushing for the first 10 mins after which Launceston started to hold there own and had the better chances. The forwards were a constant threat to Ivybridge defence. The game was being played at 100 mph which didn't really help either team.

HT 0 - 0

The game really needed a goal to settle the teams down, which Ivybridge managed to scored in the 49 min after Joe Truelove managed to head the ball back across goal for Mark Berry to score, however, the lead lasted less than 3 mins, when Launceston equalised on 51 mins. Ivybridge woke up and regained the lead some 2 mins later after the visitors defence allowed the ball to bounce, with Rocky Neale nipping between the defender and lobbing the keeper, Ivybridge then went further ahead in the 59 min after some great work by Ben Smallridges close control jinking through 3-4 players before slotting the ball home to extend the lead to 3 - 1. Launceston never gave up and pulled a goal back in the 74 min, but, Ivybridge regained their 2 goal lead on 77 mins with a Rocky Neal volley.

A much improved performance from Ivybridge, but, could tighten up the back line and concentrate more on their defending, than keep calling for the assistant ref for the non exisistant offside.
