RENO1989 Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Gwinear res 1-4 Helston (ht 1-4) Good game with no major incidents, well refereed. I see Mousehole beat Illogan tonight 1-0, unbelievable result that!!! Well done, when was the last time illogan lost a league game?! TMS now with 3 games in hand and I think they play each other! Could be an exciting end to the season!! Good luck to both.
jonnoleek Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Gulval 3 - 4 Gwinear Unlike the Helston game, this was not well refereed. Gulval got given 5 yellow cards by a power happy ref. It got so boring and time consuming that the we were tempted to pay more money to have Marazion put their floodlights on. Couple of good signings made by Gwinear (Striker from Camborne Park), and the CM (dont know where he came from but overheard a player say to him 'you need to sign up and play next week for us'). Couple of well taken goals from both teams but not going to say much due to the poor ref and his friend who took the line. Cheers Gwinear for having a laugh at the ref with us at some points though.
stokefan1 Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Gwinear res beat gulval res 4-3!!! good game very open played at marazion football club on a always good surface Think their was 10 players booked in game overall
NBarbs Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 A huge congratulations to Wayne Berry bagging the winner for Gwinear tonight, rolling back the years. Ref done a great job, could well of been a lot more for us, roll on Wednesday to a potential cracker against park.
Soccer Follower Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Div 3 Chacewater 9 Troon 1 h/t 1-1 Chacewater did not have their shooting boots on in the first half and were thwarted by good goalkeeping and last ditch defending.A stern talking to at half time had the required effect and an early goal settled the nerves in the second half to make the game easier. Game was well controlled by top referee Mike Carter.

gaffer Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Gwinear Striker is Jason Fenton who signed from Park some time ago. Cm were Nick Troon, Nick Barber and Bash Sherriff. All our players. Unlucky tonight. Thats footie.
Minns Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Holmans 2 vs Mawnan 3 Holmans were missing a few key players tonight and batchy had to.make a rare appearance in goal for the first team due to a shoulder injury that most probably will see me out of goal until next season providing it can heal.
Shifty Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Holmans 2 vs Mawnan 3 Holmans were missing a few key players tonight and batchy had to.make a rare appearance in goal for the first team due to a shoulder injury that most probably will see me out of goal until next season providing it can heal. Our 8th game in 17 days and by next Tuesday will be 11 in 25 days. So a few walking wounded and after a 9-1 trouncing at St Keverne on Saturday, Mawnans confidence and character were tested when they fell behind to a goal after 20 minutes. However, Mawnan equalised through a Christian Blundell header and then took the lead through substitute Liam Dent on the stroke of half time. Dent then made it 3-1 in the second half and Mawnan had chances to seal the game but couldnt quite finish Holmans off. Holmans made the finish tense with late goal to make it 3-2, but Mawnan defended stoutly at the back with Sharp, Gibbon, Fernihough and Carnon holding firm. Excellent reaction to Saturdays defeat. Just 10-11 games left :-)

green & white Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Mousehole 1-0 Illogan (ht 0-0) Mousehole History Maker : Ryan Ellis 1st league defeat in 70 matches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mangle Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Gulval first team were being beaten by St Buryan tonight (5-2 according to Trelawny site) so doubt the reserves had any first teamers in against Gwinear.
plainlazy Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Storm reserves 2 - 1 St Erme Good game played in a decent spirit, well reffed. Aching now 2 games in 3 days with two shot knees. I LOVE FOOTBALL! Storm goals James Chillman x 2
Rhondda Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Don't know what your on about jonnoleek our cm is signed on! I wouldn't like to guess how many first teamers you had in tonight because there's no way you would be bottom of the league if you had that team playing every week! First team playing at Buryan at the same time, pretty confident that the first teamers playing in our first team. Kinda clue in the title i suppose? And this is why we are where we are, we play well and let the points slip..

Only what i heard in the clubhouse. We had no first teamers.
Scoffy Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 When one run ends, another one can begin credit to mousehole they worked their socks off tonight and although it looked 0-0 all the way they got the break in injury time.
Guest Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 The referee at the Gwin-Gulval game was spot on. The Gulval Guys done nothing but bitch and moan at him all game. If I was in charge of that game having heard some of the comments that were aimed at the ref, then you'd have left the field on the final whistle with just 9 men. It was pathetic at times. The linesman, had it not been for his alertness and his good overall ability to run the line, we'd have scored plenty more goals via the through balls to our strikers!! Easily! Both teams played some good football but I'm sure I can say on behalf of both sides, tired legs are beginning to make an appearance. For us, we'd have had 4 games in seven days, anyone that saw my post from Saturday would know what I feel about the fixture build up and the fact us and park have a fixture less Saturday, yet have to play on Wednesday. When the Gulval guys were quiet and stopped moaning, they were a good bunch of lads. Just a shame that a few let you down. Referees, when given that sort of stick, do you really think they'd give you the benefit of the doubt in any situation?
peter taylor Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 I think you will find it was the first league defeat for Illogan in 53 games. Last defeat was to St Agnes Reserves 3-2 on 21 April 2012. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Soccer Follower Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 It was still quite a feat to go unbeaten in the league for all of those matches.

Scoffy Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 More than a chance ;-) tho last night wasn't my fault x
