Steffen Iversen Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 Just wondering how many sides go up and down this season
John Mead Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 Depends on the success of the applications for promotion to SWPL. The one which finishes highest out of Illogan, Ludgvan & Wendron could be promoted - leaving 18 teams. Illogan Reserves And Helston Reserves have applied for promotion from the Trelawny League, so if they achieve a top three finish, they will be promoted. With no relegation from SWPL and two promotion candidates, this would suggest no relegation from the Combo this season and a 20 team league for next season.
le boss Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 What about Threemilestone and Helston Reserves - have they not applied for Combo
John Mead Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 Sorry - a bit of a "Senior moment". Have edited my original post to include Helston Reserves - no offence intended! It seems the League didn't receive TMS's application in time.

That's what I was going to write in next week's paper. Dammit John!
Steffen Iversen Posted April 3, 2014 Author Report Posted April 3, 2014 Thanks for that. Personally i can see both Illogan sides going up. Be a shame if Tms didnt go up,they definitely deserve it.
St Darren Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 Be a bit embarrassing if they haven't got the application form in on time won't it? Surely they've not done that.

Steffen Iversen Posted April 4, 2014 Author Report Posted April 4, 2014 Based on the fact they've got, apart from Illogan, the most points this season. Why don't you think they deserve?
le boss Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 Did not say they did not deserve. The season has not yet finished either

Steffen Iversen Posted April 4, 2014 Author Report Posted April 4, 2014 Yea fair shout that the league hasnt finished yet so whoever the top 2 out of Illiogan,Helston and Tms are then they deserve it but in my opinion Tms are too good to drop that many points.
WendronOfficial Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 TMS didn't apply so as long as Illogan and helston finish in the top three then they go up? If Illogan firsts don't get promoted, would it just be helston res that get promoted? Providing they finish top 3?
mikeyp Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 I heard tms form was sent to the wrong address and the leage didnt get it until after the date
John Mead Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Wendron Official, you're correct with both your assumptions!
Steffen Iversen Posted April 5, 2014 Author Report Posted April 5, 2014 I always thought you could appeal if your application was late or rejected? And to sum up,no teams will be relegated from the Combo?
