Division 3

Redruth Athletic 4-2 Mawnan Reserves

Mawnan started the game brightly and took the lead in the first couple of minutes when a cross was headed in at the back post. Redruth then got back in to the game, and had a couple of chances which hit the frame of the goal, whilst Mawnan nearly doubled their lead on a couple of occasions Redruth then equalised to make it 1-1 at half time.

The second half was a fairly even affair, with both sides having chances but Mawnan once again took the lead following a rasping 25 yard free kick from Scott Kellow. Mawnan looked they were going on to win the game, but Redruth werent going to lie down and fought back well. They equalised and then with the gloom closing in, scored 2 late goals to claim all 3 points.

The first of many evening games I'm sure we're all going to be involved with this season.

Holmans 5 - 8 Marazion Blues

13 goals shared at Holmans tonight and despite the high number of goals it wasn't the best game and Marazion were far below their best. Goals from Kayode Odetayo x3, Chris Bullock x2, Jordan Taylor, Tanelle Carey and Bradley Wills (pen)

Thanks guys, great game tonight, really pulsating game, end to end stuff. Mawnan probably deserved to edge it with a superb free kick midway through the first half, but with the light fading we managed to just about do enough. Played Mawnan 3 times now and it's always a pleasure to play your club.

Goal scorers Chris Dower, Lee Man x2 and Ryan Ault (Penalty)

Chacewater Res. 5 Four Lanes 1

Both teams tried to play some decent football on a sticky pitch not helped by rain just before kick off.Match excellently officiated by top referee Mike Carter (Porky)

Good bunch of lads at Four Lanes who are run by two great guys in Paul & Dave.
