Scott Rowe Posted March 31, 2014 Report Posted March 31, 2014 Is there a rule where if you play 1st team football on the tues you cant play for the 2nd team on the weds in the same week.
peggy78 Posted March 31, 2014 Report Posted March 31, 2014 If in doubt get hold of someone from the league, but as I understand it the ruling goes something like this. When a player plays 2 or more games for the higher side, he becomes a higher player until 35 days after his last game. The lower team can play 2 of these players in a match. For a definite answer try Steve Carpenter : fhregsec@hotmail.co.uk
Jeff Stelling Posted March 31, 2014 Report Posted March 31, 2014 Best to check with Steve but as long as you don't exceed the 'Two first team players' rule then it's fine to play in the same week. You can even play for both sides on the same day providing the games don't overlap. 2pm and 4pm KO for example.

If you're referring to the game with your 3rds at the weekend would you care to name the players that you think weren't eligible? We played myself (Will Annear), and Tom Collins from the 1st team. Ben Kellow also played but has only played 1 game for the 1st team since the game at Illogan before Christmas; therefore no longer classed as a 1st team player. I've been at Storm for a few seasons now and have never known either of our sides to bend the rules. playing fair is something we take great pride in! We even had a player refuse to play recently as there was a brief flirtation with the idea of playing an extra 1st teamer. This idea was quickly quashed as it's not something we do as a club. Either win fairly or lose fairly!
cb_fc Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 Funny Helston moaning about higher standard players I watched the 3rd team play last season n a mate pointed out 5 not div 5 players who played. Premier/combo players but that wasn't my place to point it out. U know the saying ppl who live In glass houses. Im not saying any1 has done it this season. Another reason why I.D cards should be brought in.

Helston Keeps Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 How does it work if a complaint is made, how do they prove that a player has been played under and alternative name? For example I no that joe bloggs has played but he is not named on the team sheet, I then make a complaint what would the next port of call be? is it another "you need video evidence"

Photo/video evidence is the key. As previously mentioned Storm have (as long as I've been there) never played a player under a false name. We'd happily line up each week and let you take a picture of the squad!
