Darren Lewarne Posted September 11, 2007 Report Share Posted September 11, 2007 Mining Div 1 results 11th Sept. Redruth Utd 3 - 5 Robartes (not easy this Mining 1 lark!!) Spice 4 - 3 Troon (I think - Spice defo won and Troon reduced to 10 men). - All credit to Robartes: were better where it mattered - in the danger area 18 yd box. Nick Mill with 2 I think. Hopefully not too biased to say i thought we played the better football overall, but failed to make the most of our chances. Redruth 1-0 up within 10 mins (Aaron Brokenshire), Robartes equalised through Nick after 25 mins then went ahead through the same player. Joe Crossman, in his first game for us, equalised for Redruth (courtesy of St Day allowing a reinstatement - thanks Andy Tasker/Garry Kay), Robartes went 3-2 up in the second half, Crossman pulled another goal back but Robartes took advantage of our failure to clear our lines a couple of times to score 2 late goals in the last 15 minutes. Two balls in the back of the net for our new signing Mark (Popey) Pope but both ruled offside. Can't comment as i was too far back running our line. Robartes had a few key players missing. I'm not usually as unsociable!!!!! Good luck for you as well and i look forward to our return match at yours in January. Hope Danny recovers soon (for you as well as me!!)
