Penzance Reserves 1-5 Falmouth Town Reserves

0-1 9mins

0-2 35mins

0-3 43 mins

0-4 65mins

1-4 79mins

1-5 87mins

Crowd count 66

Pz put in 6 1st teamers. After Falmouth go 1-0 up the rest of the half belonged to Pz, but couldn't put ball away. Too many weak headers from corners and wild free kicks. 1st half possesion 65-35 Pz.

2nd half probably 55-45 in Pz favour. Same problem couldn't finish. Ball into box cut out every time by Falmouth player who seemed to get to everything.

Falmouth 1st goal from a corner, 2nd open play, 3rd a penalty, 4th a free kick, 5th open play.

One of those games where your team does litrally dominate but nothing works or goes in.

8 games, 8 defeats.

Heading towards the record of 18 games without a win (but some draws in that) about 10 years ago.

PORTHLEVEN 1 RNAS CULDROSE 0

A fairly even opening 10mins with Porthleven defenders having to make some last ditch tackles but their forwards creating the more clear cut chances.

Porthleven got the breakthrough midway through the first half, some good work down the right saw Danny Williams work the ball back to Jason Robertson & his pinpoint cross was superbly volleyed in by Mike Davis.

Port then enjoyed a good spell of possesion & only some poor decision making & 2 top drawer saves by the Culdrose keeper from Danny Williams prevented Port from seeing the game off before half time.

The 2nd half was completly different with Culdrose dominating the ball & Port restricted to the odd breakaway. Although having all the possesion, Culdrose could find no way past a solid & resolute Port defence & keeper Stu Williams only had 1 save to make in the dying minutes.

Culdrose may feel that after having so much possesion in the 2nd half they deserved to get something out of the game however, they didnt work our keeper at all & it was Port who created the better goalscoring chances.

Culdrose worked very hard, looked fit & have some very good players & im glad to see them going down the road of playing civilians to give them some sort of stabillity week in week out.

Their league position is a false one at the moment & im sure they will soon start picking up some results & start climbing the table.

Good luck to George & Culdrose for the rest of the season. :clapper:
