For suzie chows sake lets hope mousehole dont take promotion, with her team falmouth sat next to bottom in the relegation spot! As each table stands as of now, what do you all think the final outcome will be in each league come May? For me its bodmin or parkway champions/runners up, liskeard & falmouth bottom two. Your thoughts everyone...

Big Al, hear we go again Moaning & winging, no faith in the club you profess to support, Falmouth town does not need your kind of support right now, it needs all of us to get behind them with full support,

No doubt if Falmouth were top of the League you would be singing a different tune,

If you feel so strong in your opinion of Falmouth at this time, Please do not bother to keep coming onto this forum with your comments about Falmouth Town, John Dent is doing his best & it is up to all Falmouth Supporters to fully support him & the Team, & not to keep on making unhelpful remarks , ( & before you try shooting me down, yes every one is entitled to an opinion, but yours at the moment are unfair to Falmouth town)

Sorry Big AL for you A Big :SM_carton:

Will Mousehole take promotion then when they win the league??

Presumably they won't be because of facilities - lights, if nothing else.

However, what a shame that they (and all teams that finish champions) can't because of things off the pitch rather than on it.

Godolphin managed it and Mousehole already have a better starting point!

I am sure I read somewhere that Mousehole will not consider promotion this season -probably enjoying their first time of success.

With one from the top two for promotion would Sticker make an application or is it too soon in this their only second season in the League.

From the chasing pack I guess Helston and Callington would like promotion but Penryn seem happy in this Div1 West league.

Truro City Reserves are on a charge and they would definately accept a position in the top tier if they finish in the top two.

So if no club goes up would that mean only one club to be relegated from the Premier ? assuming the top clubs in the East Division will take promotion.

Makes a mokery of the system if thats the case, the bottom two come May should go down because they werent good enough over the season and teams that finish the highest in the leagues below that wish to accept promotion to the premier should be allowed to be promoted. Or else whats the point of feeder leagues??

Liskeard will be bottom and Falmouth next to bottom. I cannot see Falmouth winning any more matches this season.

I think they will pick a few points up in the second half, got a few bottom half teams to play. I've seen them a couple of times, and they have been unlucky on both occasions. Should have had a draw against Bodmin at the least, could have won it.

Just had a look at the rules for promotion from step 7 to 6 and it states that if the top two clubs do not wish to be promoted it can consider clubs down to 5th. spot as long as they meet the entry criteria.

So it looks likely that two will be relegated from the Premier.

And have applied Mike before a certain date?

MQ, big al is speaking sense, liskeard are no way good enough to stay in the league.

We only intend to play to the best of our ability. We are not good enough at the moment but January is a key month for us and if we do go down we will do it with a squad that want to wear a blue shirt this season and next. I can't do much more than instill these qualities in young players.

I wish there were more teams with the philosophy of Liskeard. To get a bunch of localish youngsters and instill loyalty and pride in their team, while working on skills and tactics has got to be better, in the long term, than yet another expensive quick fix.

From Martin's long experience of developing youngsters through their reserve side, he is undoubtedly the man who can best achieve it with the firsts. It may take a while, even beyond this season, though I hope not, but it is certainly the way to go.

Best of luck Martin. I suspect that there will be more teams having to follow in your footsteps.

Kind words Bruegel, it is definitely a joint effort from all 3 managers at the moment and we have the committee onboard as well. Since we reduced the players wages to little over "expenses" we haven't lost any players and the squad is looking strong in terms of numbers. It is going to be a long tough season for us but as we have said previously, we are here to see the plan through so watch this space. We will still attempt to play attractive football and encourage the young players to adapt to our values on and off the pitch.

Bring on 2014 !!

With Big Al not seeing Falmouth winning any more games this season, does it mean he is going elsewhere to watch on a Saturday?? Hope so.

I know he has been PM'd by various people but hasn't had the courtesy to respond. Sums up the calibre of the man in my opinion. We can let his comments affect us or we can humour him. He is not a Falmouth Town supporter...FACT.

Totally agree and its the principle that should govern as many clubs as possible.

Suzie, Thanks for your comments. Now can you tell us what this Big Al fella looks like. We all need supporters but sometimes you need to know when to slam the gate!

Dead right!

Promotion and relegation should be automatic for all teams who qualify for either of them. At the very least, clubs who have won the right to be promoted should ALWAYS be allowed to accept it.

Otherwise, as you say, what is the point?

This 'Big Al' character is entitled to express his opinions just like everyone else even if he annoys other people. Although he does appear to be a bit of a manic depressive, it has to be said.

Am I imagining it, or are Falmouth just two points behind Tavistock and one point behind Collumpton, over whom they actually a game in hand?

Surely there is everything to play for, so why all the gloom?

I appreciate what your saying MQ, I would just like to point out that there are a number of clubs in the same position paying little more than just expenses, godolphin, launceston, ivybridge ,saltash to name a few yet they seem to fighting at the top end of the table rather than bottom, but like you said someone has to finish bottom, maybe you'll be able to turn things around come the end of the season.

I think it will have to be turned around before the end of the season as we have Saltash, Parkway and Bodmin as our last 3 games so would need to be safe by then and it isn't about the money in reality it's about bringing the youngsters through and giving them a chance to perform as well,

You'r up early !
