Few superstars on show aswell,Adam barnicoat,Steve Owen and Martin day all making an appearance in division 5! Mabe went 1-0 up when the town keeper controlled a back pass then as went to clear it slipped on his a** leaving Luke Murray to tap into an empty net. Straight from kick off town punted the ball down field and a town player,(not sure of his name) scored a wonder goal. Town had better of the early running but mabe grew into the game more as the half progressed. Saying that the newly married Ben lendryou scored from a drive outside the box in off the post making the score 2-1 to town. Almost straight away mabe equalised when the town keeper made another mistake leaving Murray to grab his second of the game. 2-2 half time. Second half kicked off and mabe were on the front foot,some good work by Timmy Hurrell down the left hand side,giving the ball to Murray who completed his hat trick through a crowd of players. Mabe sat back and defended what they had,looking dangerous on the break. Town kept knocking on the door but the mabe keeper pulling off some good saves kept the score 3-2 which is how if finished. Most bizarre thing I seen on the day and I have to mention is Luke Murray a player actually coming over to the mabe manager and telling him who to sub on and off. This is totally embarrassing for the mabe manager and I haven't got a clue why he doesn't make his own decisions. Maybe he hasn't got a clue??? Who knows. Man of the match would have to be Luke Murray,was a pain in the A** for fal town all game,worked hard and closed the defence down and was rewarded with his hat trick. Good player who can and has played a lot higher than division 5! Look forward to mabe travelling to play us,chacewater in the junior cup a week Saturday. Jack Roberts is the manager and picks the team, Me and Liam Chinn both make suggestions to Jack before and during the game as captain and vice captain respectively. The incidents you were reffering to today were when our players were walking around injured and telling me that they had to come off instead of Jack. As it is the heat of the moment i get frustrated that we have injured players hobbling around not being able to fully help the team out, so the way i put my point across appears to be demanding as things need to be sorted straight away. cb_fc Posted December 26, 2013 Report Share Posted December 26, 2013 The mention of higher standard players in div 5 there does seem to be alot of teams with ex combo or similar standard players dropping down. There are some teams in div 5 who cud give much higher teams a good go. Such as mabe beating mawnan a premier side. I great result for them. Div 5 has teams wch should be higher and the standard of some teams seems tobe much higher than what iv seen of div 3 and 4. Shame I missed this game sounded like a cracker keeping div 5 interesting at the top. Camborne athletic will see mabe on Saturday. Whats the pitch conditions looking like? Cheers. Jack has done a fantastic job of getting a decent team together, getting sponsorship, and keeps a large squad happy. I think it's good that new and supposedly less fashionable clubs are able to challenge the established clubs, many of which have become lazy and unwilling to embrace change. Keep it up Jack. true mabefc Posted December 27, 2013 Report Share Posted December 27, 2013 Im the mabe manager and yeah i listen to liam and luke as they are both good players that have played a high standard of football and both want to do the best for the team they are playing in but i still have the final say im a new manager so i have alot of learning to do but i have put together this club from scratch how many people can say they have done that and get the team up to the high standard that we play we let the football do the talking the comments made by a chacewater player that he was going hurt luke murray because he a better player is appaling and sad so matt maybe you should sort out your own team and not worry about mabe Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Have had a private chat with Luke Murray and he told me the situation so I appologise for my comment. Was a good game to watch,much better standard than a game u would expect in division 5. I can't control what my players say and 9times outa 10 they r full of it and would never do anything in the pitch. I can't wait for the game a week Tomoz,it's gona be hell of a game. I'm confident my boys can do it but mabe r not a team to be under estimated. I reckon there will be 1 goal in it either way,it's too close to call.If u wish to chat to me on Facebook feel free bud,if not we will have a chat on the 4th January. Just hope it's a good game and the weather is kind this week to make the pitch as good as possible because both teams will look to play football the right way.
