St Day at 10am this morning, picture taken by the Newquay AFC Combo Manager, guess they are running scared of The Peppermints ! 1505229_10151761071757890_106010922_n.jp

Didn't take a picture of the flooded bottom end then? Inspection done and parts were dangerous! Player safety comes first!!!

to be fair bighairydave there was an area 2ftx3ft that was a bit muddy.walked the pitch took the photos shame really as we were well up for the match...ended up watching goonhavern v`s mullion then caught the second half of perranporth v`s vospers

Good away win for Wendron today, against a side with plenty of higher league experience, and strengthened by the inclusion of Bodmin's Jon Ludlum. We played some decent football, and scored some well taken goals. Our defence coped well against the strength of Gerrans. I hope that the centre half that got injured is ok. I was concerned as the Ludgvan management at one stage were talking about not moving him and calling an ambulance. Thank you for the food and hospitality.

hayle lost the toss st just played against the wind 1 st half we went 1-0 up matty thomas again we should have been three up before st just got going then three quick goals took the stuffing out of the lads st just very organised and played the ball out from the back well against the wind and with their young striker up front give him half a chance and boy can he finish , st just as always very rugged in the challenge and kept the ref on his toes and they know how to call for all 50/50 challenges [ which our youngsters need to do and need to learn quickly] better second half and with some luck and better finishing we should have pulled a couple of goals back , probable still would not have won the game but could have looked more respectable score , weather was bloody alfull and st just adjusted better in the 1st half we played better in the second half and kept them down to only one goal in the second half but the damage was already done , some of the lads today were a bit intimidated and looked like rabbits caught in the headlights but they kept going , the lads need some leadership on the park as they are to quiet totally different to st just who use their experience to contest all descions , rightly or wrongly all the top teams of combo do this , both teams were short today but this is no excuse for us beat by the better team on the day , st just will have a big say in the run in for the league and on their day can beat any combo side but it could be their lack of control at times which can cost them with suspensions , i have a lot of time for st just and they have some very good senior players and off the pitch they are good as gold , but they can stretch even the most patient of people when playing against them , was looking forward to seeing steve curnow rolling back the years but alas his awaited apperance was not needed , good luck for the rest of the season and hopefully we can move on and pick up some more points in the coming weeks easy fixture for the lads next week illogan away hope we can find our voices for this one ,
