LukeWoz
I know it's still early days and deserves more of a chance but my gut feeling is moyes isn't the right manager for man utd. I think jurgen klopp would've been the best choice
Guest BenTheYeti
David Moyes is the perfect choice for Manchester United, as with him at the helm, they are going to struggle miserably

Guest
It is taking time. United don't look right at the moment but I expect them to pick up soon.
TheolderIgetthebetterIwas
Ferguson jumped ship at the right time, he knew that his team was on borrowed time. He was too old to rebuild that team, and he knew it. SO - he jumped. Is any manager the right one for any team ? who knows, lot of luck required. Manure have been on borrowed time for two years, now its run out, Moyes will look a lot older before he turns the team around ... IF, he's given time, and lots of money. Their turn at the top is over - COYS, maybe ?
isaac rosenberg
While thoroughly enjoying their funeral, I fear that the Financial Fair Play regulations due to come into force may, unfortunately, resurrect them.....so if Moyes can hang in there for two years, he may eventually look good despite his team ! SteveG
I know it's still early days and deserves more of a chance but my gut feeling is moyes isn't the right manager for man utd. I think jurgen klopp would've been the best choice I have never heard such nonsense. Don't you realise it takes time to build a team, and to make your own mark on it? Stability is the key to success. My solution for United's difficulties right now would be for the owners to take the bull by the horn, show some balls, and sign Moyes up for an extended contract. I would suggest that a period of around, say, twenty years might be appropriate in the circumstances. This would give him the security and confidence he needs to genuinely do things his own way, and only after this period has elapsed can his record be properly judged. I am certain this would be in the very best interests of this historic and wonderful club, and that is my only concern in this matter. And that's the God's honest truth, really it is. Soccer Follower
Difficult early season fixtures combined with injuries to major players have resulted in a dip.David Moyes is a good manager and he will be given time plus money in January to strengthen where needed. Willser !
He was damned if he did and damned if he didn't. Moyes came in an largely stuck with last years Premier league winning team and they haven't done him any favours so now people are saying "why didn't he strengthen before transfer deadline". However, if he brought all new players in and disbanded Fergies team, people would be saying why did change a winning team! Either way it would almost be impossible for him to succeed in a way most people think he should. He needs the January transfer window, and a good post World Cup pre-season before Man Utd can truly be Moyes team in which I'm sure the board will give him the time he needs. Question is next season, will it be with or without Champions League football?

St Darren
Can someone tell me when David moyes had any success. Lots have said about the success he had at Everton but I've not seen any. Always have said he is overrated as a manager

Question is next season, will it be with or without Champions League football? Moyes was fully aware of the need to strengthen during the summer, but all of his targets turned him down apart from Fellaini, who already knew him well. It is no longer so easy for United to sign the players they want because of the absence of the previous manager. It pains me to say it, but Ferguson was up there with Clough, Shankley, Busby, etc as one of the greatest managers of all time, and his presence was a big attraction to any prospective new signing. If United enter next summer having won nothing and without any Champions League football to offer, it is going to be damned near impossible for them to sign anyone of any note. Unless, of course, Moyes can get them drunk first, as Herbert Chapman allegedly used to do back in the Twenties and Thirties.
Nemesis
Moyes did superbly in ensuring Everton did not get relegated, I'm sure he will be just as successful at keeping Man Ure up.
