cornish brazilian
An intriguing match in prospect this afternoon for many reasons - local rivalry, managerial changes, recent signings, notable absentees , etc. Let's hope for decent weather , a good referee, positive support from fans and a degree of control in the dugouts. May the better team win!
leedsunited
It will be fairly close imagen, cup games usually tight due to the fact that 1 nil or 8 nil doesnt matter in a cup game, aslong as you win & progress. Im going 1-0 godolphin after extra time

Fool on the hill
Finished 5.0 to Godolphin, feel sorry for the Newquay fans that have to watch that drivel week in week out, should have been double figures.
100%cornish
What a fine display from a class Godolphin side every 1 of there players looked comfortble on the ball while Newquay where just poor and the defence you could drive a bus through the middle and the no7 for G did that most of the afternoon ,the only shot of note from Newquay was Jack Bray Evans hitting the post but that was that I would like to say the G are a fine side play lovely football the management team do a fine job as well as the comittee they are a real credit , There was no confidence at all in this Newquay side at all unlike the G who played with confidence in a bundle and oozed class 5- 0 To the G Derek Martin manager of the year the G team of the year .Im going to miss a lot of games in the year i got to go all the way to Bristol South Meads for treatment on my Kidney cancer will miss watching the football .Well done the G and good luck to Newquay for the rest of the season

cornish brazilian
Excellent display by G, especially without a main striker. Josh Harris (no 7 for previous poster) was outstanding but a great all round team performance. Newquay were poor, lacking cohesion and leadership both on and off the field and their supporters must be anxious to know who's going to take on the challenge of turning their season round after a humiliating defeat. They have some good young players who (to apply the cliché) will learn from such defeats but will need to do better. The referee had a pretty good game, with less bizarre decisions than we're used to and a healthy desire to play advantage and let the game flow. Nemesis
Thought that there were some good individual performances from The Peppermints, some positives to be taken despite the result. Disappointed obviously, but there is not another town in Cornwall with two SWPL sides, Godolphin are on the up at the moment and fair play to them. As for Newquay, despite the SWPL side going through changes, everything below that right down to the Under 5's is looking very good indeed. As for the first team, our time will come again. leedsunited
The last time it 'came' nemesis it was in the 80's, thats when you won anything of note...! Although as club I suppose you rank quite high! A sleeping giant maybe. What was attendance?
100%cornish
The only player i could see that played well was jack bray evans the back 4 where just very poor but Newquays time will come again they just need to stay up and rebuild in the summer .I didnt see you Nemesis i was by the Newquay dugout listening to middleton shouting ,as the song things will only get better but not against Godolphin they wont because they will have there strikers back for the next time they meet but josh Harris done ok today didnt he and to think my son Will PEARCE played in the same team as most of the G players then he discovered girls and music and that was the end of his football .Im looking forward to when Bodmin come to play the G just hope its not in january

derek martyn
100% Cornish, thank you for your support, and on behalf of the management team, the players, and everybody connected with Godolphin FC we wish you all the best for a speedy recovery from your impending treatment for your Kidney problems. I hope that you will be able to draw some inspiration from Mick Lowry who has also undergone major surgery for similar ill health in recent months and is thankfully getting back to good health at this time.
