cornishteddyboy
Final score tonight Saltash 4-1 Illogan.
Dave Deacon
I would have thought Illogan won't be too disheartened with their performance this evening although the scoreline suggests it was perhaps a decisive win to Saltash. It wasn't really, although once the Ashes went ahead, there was only going to be one winner!
Jamo
Very true Dave! Just gone midnight and we just got off the coach after our return journey lol, cracking effort from all the Illogan lads tonight, real young squad tonight and did us proud, shame that top scorer Sam Waters couldn't play as cup tied and captain Simon Ellis was missing due to illness , but even so a great performance! When we went 1 nil up I thought here we go lol! But saltash experience fitness and pass and move told in the end and yes they deserved the win but maybe not 4-1, saltash keeper being made to work with some great saves Thanks to saltash for the hospitality after the game as well, much appreciated and good luck to them in the next round
Jamo
Also Dave like to throw in that despite we were a little short tonight we couldn't pull any reserves into the squad because they played in the junior cup , think that convo has been brought up a lot recently lol

Jamo
Yes Dave fortunately with Barrie only leaving us recently and being eligible through league games and already playing senior cup for us, if not we would have had no keeper like when we played in the charity cup and played an outfielder in goal
