isaac rosenberg
Last time Trudgvan got into the last 16 of a club tournament, they were touring the Scilly Isles.
SteveG
This is not good news. I hope it doesn't mean the club might fold in the not-very-distant future.
dave bunt
Rule changes this season means Foxhole only have 8 fit & eligible players for todays game. The whole of the second team are unavailable for selection, either because they have played in the junior cup or have yet to play a competitive game for the first team this season. If today was a league game we would have no problem fielding a full squad of players, makes having a second team pointless when it come to county cup games. On behalf of Foxhole Stars I would like to apologise to committee members & playing staff of Ludgvan for any inconvenience caused by this cancellation at such short notice. Mike Odgers
Hope the wheels are in motion to get this ridiculous rule changed for next season. With all latest transfers and reserve players about to step up,I bet the CCFA hawks will be eagerly awaiting to scrutinise the Monday morning team sheets. le boss
Sorry but this 'rediculous' rule is in place because in the past too many teams have abused the old rules and loaded teams - you only reap what you sow but it is always other teams who suffer. isaac rosenberg
No other county bothers with the senior-junior distinction any more. Nor does reinstatement exist, therefore removing a CCFA income source.Good old Kernow.
AJW
There is no reinstatement any more. Please keep up to date!. And other counties DO restrict the way in which players at various levels can play. It's not just Cornwall and rightly so.
Phil
How long has this rule been in place? As far as i can see, The rule has been changed between last season and this from being, a registered and recognised player of the club to registered and recognised player of the team. What bright spark thought that this was a good idea amazes me, and is the same reason some of the junior sides were kicked out of the Junior cup! kempy
Why can't a player for a CLUB play in the Senior cup if you have played in the Junior cup ..I could understand the other way round . At the end of the day some guys never had a game yesterday.
LukeWoz
Ajw is only saying he agrees with it because his grampound side wrongly got through to the next round of the junior cup with a similar incident with st minver. I think the rules are a joke when you use second team players, if it was 1st helping the reserves yeah I would agree but for the reserves not being able to step up when signed with a club is a joke. My personal opinion
Soccer Follower
What Did Grampound do wrong Luke? St.Minver were the ones who broke the rules.
LukeWoz
I'm not saying they did anything wrong but they benefited from a shocking rule. All minver did was call on a reserve player in a junior cup game to be on bench and he played little time and helped the 1st team and got punished because he hadn't played a league game. It's my personal opinion but that is a shocking rule. I have no affiliation to st minver so I'm not bias
LukeWoz
It's not a dig at grampound as I know a few of there players. I just think it's a rule that needs changing and looking through the forum I think more agree with my view than disagree

AJW
Grampound did not wrongly get through to the next round. It was tough on a good St Minver team, but St Minver broke a rule and Grampound did not. As it happens, Grampound had to leave out a player who would have been a sure starter but due to suspension, injury and postponements due to no ref being available he had not made an appearance and so was in the reserve team that day. There was discussion on this forum about this issue when a team was expelled after the first round, which is what made us leave him out. LukeWoz, you have made a rather big assumption about what I think, so for what it's worth, I too think this rule is daft and has had unintended consequences. I am sure that it will be re-drafted for next season.

LukeWoz
Well I didn't mean to offend grampound ajw and probably worded it wrong. I just think the rule is a joke and at the end of the day you have to accept the rules albeit a bitter one to accept.
