Mike Odgers
Another attractive fixture at Bickland this afternoon as high flying Witheridge make their journey from the heart of Devon.Currently in 5th spot and on a 6 match unbeaten run the visitors are enjoying their best SW Peninsula season. They include two former players in Joe Tickle in goal and central defender Jamie DirraneFalmouth will be looking to improve after gaining their first point at Bickland (v Exmouth) and hopefully a first home win today. Two new strikers are in contention today as Rob Wearne returns to the club from Newquay and all eyes will be on Kayne Trevaskiss who steps up to this SWPL level after joining from Penryn. With only 17 goals (9 at Home) scored from 18 games Falmouth will feel confident the goals will now begin to flowBoth Jamie Webb and Andy Westgarth are on 49 appearancesTaken from prog'notes which also include a historical listing of all keepers who have made 50 + appearancesIf anyone (keeper) wants a copy of that list please pm me with your email. Henning Berg
Good luck to Falmouth. As someone that has no affiliation to the club whatsoever, I really hope the club can regain its powerful standing within the SWPL. Great club and always love going to Bickland, feels like a proper non-league ground!
