stokefan1
camborne park 0 -0 west cornwall res, we wasn't good enough in the final third to win the game had enough chances to win the game twice over, but credit to west cornwall back 4 and goalkeeper ian chatfield who put their body infront of everything carl palmer was superb at centre of west cornwalls defence, to there credit they even had couple chances to win it two acrobatic saves from jason brooker kept them out, personally we were a yard off the pace in the first half, second half much improved just couldn't find the net!!! Shame as we been banging goals in left right and centre this season, but it was one of them days, shame but move on too next week now, thanks all west cornwall coming in after decent bunch and good support too

Diggydigs
division 3 Hayle 3rds 1-3 Lanner Hayle scorer callum gardner. Pre match talk from the ref very good n thorough how he wanted things to go, followed by a minutes silence for one of our hayle players whose dad passed suddenly last wkd, However if the ref kept his side of the talk the game would of ended very differently. Hayle started strong and challenged alot more Lanner posession than later in the match and as a result went 1-0 up with a 20+ yrd strike which may have let us sit bk, a bit and before long Lanner struck the keeper who spilled it and equalised, shortly after with a great header from a corner only few mins apart, from that point Lanner were more alert harder in the challenges and seemed like they wanted it and the ball fell for them more often, 2-1 half time. Second half had high hopes of turning it around for Hayle, slight advantage of a small decline on the Hayle main pitch didnt really make any difference Lanner continued to push n push. Tempers ran high and in an even tackle the Lanner left winger grabbed a Hayle players shirt a full hayemaker punch in the back 5yrds from the ref seemed to be a sure decision, but the ref let him go with a word of warning. From then last 10 was a bit messy then Lanner runaway with it. All in all lanner had a very strong performance. good physical game, all the best thanks for the minutes silence respect and popping in for the food. Shifty
Division 3 Mawnan reserves 3-2 Marazion Blues Great first 3 points for Mawnan reserves this season against a very good Marazion side who even though down to 10 men, pressed for an equaliser in the second half. A great performance from Mawnan though, who came from 2-1 down to win the game.

bluenose
Marazion Res 4-1 Mousehole Res Same fixture as last week but at home and not on that awful pitch, although we played as poor as last week so cant blame the pitch. Passing was poor as was the shooting, decision making and defending. Mousehole started the game a bit like West Ham, playing with no forwards and packing the midfield, getting players behind the ball and making it difficult for us to get to their goal. Took about 20 minutes before we broke the deadlock when Jason O'Sullivan rifled one into the top of the net from just inside the area. He then became the provider when he beat a couple of players to the by line and found Matt Thomas on the six yard box, who had time to take a touch and pick his spot. 2-0 up at half time but could have been more if we had taken a few of the chances. Mousehole halved the defecit with a fierce free kick which went over the wall and straight past Kevin in goal. Mousehole pressed for the equaliser as they did last week but again we were creating plenty of chances but found the sub Mousehole keeper in inspiring form. We scored the third mid way through the half when Matty went on a mazey run beating pretty much the whole Mousehole defence but just as he went to pull the trigger.....he fell over. Thankfully Craig Rennard was standing next to him and had the simple task of putting it in the back of the net. Matty did get his second a short time later after collecting a Craig pass and beating the keeper. Not our finest performance but 3 points nonetheless. Overall the ref did a fair job although being assessed put him under added pressure. One dubious decision where we hit the crossbar and it appeared to cross the line, their linesman flagged to give the goal but the ref who was a good 25 yards away refused to award it. He later said he saw that it hadn't crossed the line so I guess we will have to give him the benefit of the doubt. Next week a tough game against a young Newquay side Kevin Waite Tom Williams Danny Taylor Adam Martin Ali Birch Craig Rennard 1 Nicky Webber Jamie Wilkes Sanjay Vadgama Matty Thomas 2 Jason O'Sullivan 1 MOM - Struggling........Kevin Waite - Made the least amount of errors in the team!!!! Gee
Trelawney prem St buryan 2 - 5 Illogan res. (2-1 ht) Ryan treloar 2, Si carter, jay smith and Jason Roberts 1st half Good 1st half which felt we had the best of with some good chances created but didn't score until half way through from Ryan treloar. St buryan looked dangerous with the wind at set pieces and Allan Buckley made a superb low save from a free kick. But with 6 minutes to go st buryan scored twice to go into half leading 1st a long range shot hit the post but same player reacted quicker to rebound and score, then a scrabbled goal in the box from another free kick was eventually finished. 2nd Half We have been starting slowly in 2nd half but really went for it this week and managed to equalise in 5 mins of the start through Si carter. We continued to look dangerous and eventually got another after a great volley from Jason Roberts. For most of the half it remained a battle but buryan didn't make too many chances although a strike from 30+ yards which was going straight in the top corner and was somehow tipped around the bar. Then with 5-10 mins left a great ball from Si carter was headed back across by super sub nick ward to Ryan treloar who finished it. Finally with not long left a bit of a goal mouth scramble ended with motm jay smith bundling the ball over to make it 5. A few tempers flared near the end after some silly tackles but that's footy and it just showed how much both sides wanted it. Our best team performance this year digging deep against a good buryan side. DOTD goes to the 3 idiots who decided to go on the piss in Cardiff during the season, but looking forward to having them back next week! brayer10
Div 1 Perranporth 2-4 Stithians Liam Bray 2 Tom Furse Ben Trebilcock Stithians took a two goal lead both goals from bray, perranporth came back strong with 2 quick goals and was unlucky not to go in with the lead. Second half start was a bit scrapy perranporth started to dominate again but Stithians got a free kick which was put in perran failed to deal with it allowing Ben trebilcock to nip in to score, about 10 mins after we scored another through tom fires after that Peranporth dominating the game towards the end, with all there pressure creating a couple good chances which were saved and a couple blocked. Perranporth dominated much of the game very good side but we dug in for all 3 points takes are unbeaten run to 7! 1ofthekids
Sennen 3-2 Newlyn (HT 1-2) With Sennen having had a terrible start to the season after losing 7 players from last year, they are now hopefully starting to turn it around after their second win in 3 games. The change started with the recent signing of Scott May in the Sennen goal who was dragged out of retirement along with a more organised back four with the inclusion of old timer Terry Sturgeon. This has allowed Ben George to become the engine of the midfield. A close game against Newlyn with 2 goals from Sam (Peck) Capstick and the winning goal coming from Paul Angove with a fine diving header created by Shaun Atkinson. Peck also missed a penalty late on. Droid
Div 2 Storm 1 Frogpool 4 scorers - Lasseter, Reburn , Bawden PEN, Harry Hunter Two in form sides played at Clijah. It was a really quiet start to the game with hardly any atmosphere at all. But Frogpool started to create a few chances and cause the Storm defence a few problems. The first goal game from a Frogpool corner which was cleared to the edge of the box when Lasseter chested the ball and then flicked the ball over an Storm defender trying to clear the ball and then hit a left foot half volley into the corner of the net. They then scored through a good goal scored by James Ribery Reburn created by Lewis Vickery. Frogpool were really in control at this point and then got a third after Alex Bawden was fouled in the box. He scored the penalty only for the ref to make him take it again which he calmly slotted home. half time 0 / 3. Storm made some changes at centre back and in midfield. They started well and scored when Frogpool didn't clear and the ball was played into their number nine who hit a half volley with the outside of his foot to make it 1 / 3. storm had a good spell in the game with number 12 making them stronger in midfield. He hit the post from a long range strike. Lee booker made one of the best saves I have seen when Storms number 12 put in a decent cross fir the number 9 to hit a volley with his in step it was heading into the roof of the net only for Booker to get a hand to it and palm it on to the bar. Frogpool also created chances and scored from a brave header from Harry to make it four one to Frogpool. This was the killer goal and ended Storms chances of getting anything from the game. It was then the Storms keeper to pull off two great acrobatic saves both from Neil Nakata Carter. The first was a looping shot which the storm keeper clawed over the bar. The second was from a lobbed volley which again he tipped over the bar. A good game and a great away win against Storm who beat us twice last year. Well reffed by Phil Cuthbutson and a few tasty tackles but everyone just got on with it.
Guest
Gwinear Res 4 Lizard 1 Good game played with the right attitudes. Gwinear had enough chances to put the game beyond reach but failed to do so. With 10 minutes to go, score was 2-1 and lizard were beginning to believe they could salvage something. Two good breaks towards the end sealed the victory and put it beyond doubt for the stiffs. Another two goals for Mikey Caterall together with two assists for Dave Bartlam's double in the final ten minutes sealed the win and ensured that Gwinear remanded third in the league. MOTM for Gwinear was the hard working Nick Troon in the heart of the Gwin midfield.
