view_from_the_stand
Rumor has it that dan is leaving foxhole already after 2 games to go to newquay? has anyone else heard of this? that will mean 4 strikers at newquay now!
L.Ricks9
Dan can also play out wide, he showed that against us (St Dennis) many of times for wadebridge. But I've also heard this rumour. Good luck to him whatever he does
leedsunited
Maybe he joined foxhole as a loop hole to join newquay quicker? Seems strange a player of Dan's ability to join the division western bottom club? Had to be a ploy!
razor61
It did seem a strange move!
Nemesis
Perhaps Jennings is a replacement for Rob Wearne who appears to be moving back to Falmouth Town, according to reports in the Falmouth Packet today. I, along with the others who travelled to Bovey Tracey on Saturday, were amazed that he was on the bench. Wearne is Newquays top goalscorer this season, when he came on with 15mins remaining, we started to create serious chances.
winston
Dan has some of his best mates at Foxhole, but who could turn down a nice brown envelope from Newquay
Nemesis
Dan Jennings is now officially a Newquay AFC player, looking forward to seeing how all the new guys fit into the squad. GetInTheGame
Obvious to everyone what has happened here, the league needs to adapt the rules regarding numerous players leaving a club to go to another.
dave bunt
I would just like to state that Foxhole Stars signed Dan Jennings in good faith and in fact reported Newquay to the CCFA twice for illegal approach, but the powers that be informed us that Newquay had no case to answer. Dave Deacon
Can anyone recall a case where an "illegal approach" accusation as been found to be the case and a club punished?
Money Man
Dave - Never have I come across an illegal approach accusation resulted in a club being punished !!! Complete waste of time even reporting it Fill your boots Lafs ))
ontheball
The fact is that clubs have now found a way around the rule that prevented them from signing more than 1 player from the same club within a month period.I seem to remember this happened last season with Newquay so the powers that be have had ample opportunity to set out new measures to prevent this from happening this season but they have chosen to ignore it, therefore the "loophole" still exists and clubs are still free to exploit it.I think this is complacency on the part of the the powers that be and they need to pull their finger out and decide what they are going to do about it. If they think the rule is an important/worthwhile rule then they should do something about it to close the loophole for future seasons. If they aren't bothered about closing the loophole then just get rid of the rule altogether. In my opinion if a player signs for a club he should be tied to that club for a minimum of 45 days (6 weeks).
