matchu78
Another good win on the road for Illogan Vets, having gone polperro a fortnight ago, we arrived at Par running track having left behind torrential rain and wind at chivvy cross, to be confronted by no wind and blue sunshine which we were overjoyed with. Unfortunately the aforementioned rain and wind also fancied a trip to par for a football match and so by kick off it was grim. Illogan started brightly and had numerous chances to open the scoring yet always managing to miss or hit the keeper, when we did beat the keeper there was always a player on the line to clear and as always in this type of game Packhorse opened the scoring when we fell asleep from a free kick. That woke us up and we scored almost immediately from a corner, after that it was then a case of how many would we get as we peppered their goal and should have scored more and at least three of us (myself included) should have had a match ball each. Unfortunately the old adage of got to be in the position to miss became our best friend but we still managed to add three more goals to make it a comfortable win. Thanks for the food back at the pub, nice little set up at Par running track, Redruth and Camborne could do with something similar.
Bumdingo
The opening goal coming against the run of play is an understatement. I thought we were celebrating getting in your half not a goal! Par is a great set up though with the ref fees taken into consideration you are looking at best part of £75 a game. Good luck for the rest of the season.
