SteveG
A most satisfactory result, I must say, especially in view of events at the Etihad a few hours later!
Mangle
Very few games are going to be easy to predict this season. Which is great. Newcastle is not an easy place to go to. But where is? Good result for the season in general, makes for an exciting year.

isaac rosenberg
I think the Newcastle outcome gives Jose Mourinho (Peace Be Upon Him) the perfect riposte to all those of us who felt sorry for Mata and Luis....the latter is a much better midfielder than defender and we're rather blessed in that area....... I think the Omniscient now knows his best eleven, as the cliché goes.

Rent boys???I fear you are missing a few very important points here, Chelsea have a better squad, better manager and better chance of winning something. The spuds drew away to everton and was totally out played 2nd half! Where is the reality in your unfounded comment?

Interesting comment! As for you wouldnt swap your squad for anyone else's, really?? Chelsea and City both have a better squad than you guys. The other important thing here, is that i dont look at my team with blinkered vision unlike you. I can see the bad and often comment on the poor things surrounding my own team.Everton out played you 2nd half, i didnt say that they did 1st half. Two pens denied by a poor ref yesterday, do you agree with that??
TheolderIgetthebetterIwas
I would have liked 3 points, but more than happy with the 1 we got. Two penalties ? only one we got away with swings and roundabouts s'pose - coys

isaac rosenberg
Fresh from his terrible anti-Semitic abuse, the Bridgwater Carnival Exhibit SSS is now engaging in heterosexist abuse of poor young men trying to make a living from their personal beauty down the King's Road. Even when thy lose, the Spuds still trail behind them...... His beloved Chokers achieved their habitual scoreline in the absence of a dodgy penalty, Lloris having taken out our top (on loan) striker with the least useful part of his anatomy. Amnesia is an understandable strategy when one is forced to watch such an embarrassing display of tedium week after week. Comprenez, Lloris ? Quand il faut regarder, toutes les semaines, cette MERDE, on ne veut que d'oublier, pour tout oublier, cette "defense", ce cauchemar qui s'appelle Tottenham....... Anyway, it's great to have him back. Every pantomime needs its Grand Dame.
TheolderIgetthebetterIwas
There you go with that bloody foreign babble again Isaac, then, understandable, with all them there languages in your team. isaac rosenberg
Your "Fall of Icarus" was my favourite. Learned to fly, went too close to the sun, fell and drowned. Nobody noticed at the time: you can just see the legs sticking up in the corner of the painting, as Icarus disappears into the Ionian Sea ...there's a good Ovid poem about it Metamorphoses 8, if I remember rightly... Daedalus interea ........clausus erat pelago................ You were just trying to create a figurative representation of a Tottenham European Campaign, weren't you ? Thought so. J'enseigne cette merde !!!
