isaac rosenberg
Great to see Will James again; and the new committee doing such a good job at St Just. I know it was a theme night, but some of the horrors on display certainly frightened me. All sorts of things creep out of the woodwork at Hallowe'en. Frank and Nancy Sinatra. We all know about Frank's excellent connections. I don't like metaphorical inconsistency and it's not Christmas, so to call the vertically challenged soprano Tiny Cratchit would miss the point. Good costume ! It's just a great relief to me that St Just no longer see qualifying for the Sup Cup as the height of their ambition. After all it WAS Hallowe'en, when the spirits of good and evil mingle and are disguised...... Shiver !

isaac rosenberg
No..... Penzance would be the place for that, but it's not my culture ! Adrenaline, the bracing St Just air ....and an intoxicating grasp of the truth, however allegorically expressed, will do for me !

isaac rosenberg
"Weave a circle round him thrice And close your eyes with holy dread For he on honey-dew hath fed And drunk the milk of paradise." Ace of spades reversed; Frank, Rodney and the soprano midget; Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Happy Hallowe'en !

isaac rosenberg
No, I'm all in off-white at the moment, off to a Hallowe'en party dressed as Miss Havisham. Unlike her wedding breakfast, I'll expect the buns to be nice and fresh.

isaac rosenberg
Plenty of cobwebs in the Magpies Club. They catch flies. Roy needs those flies till I bring him his bun.
