Cme on CB5... There is a difference using club first team players that are returning from injury or need minutes, and then using players that sign on from other teams....is there not? Same old argument and whilst the rules permit it some clubs will always take advantage of it. For me it's a question of morals, I would much rather field a club player or a youngster from the area to try and engage them rather than a mate with no connection that will give us a one off boost.

Saw your later post. For the record, 75% plus of Callington's ECPL team are Callington lads - ex Callington Colts, and there are several who have made the step up into this team from the club's Duchy 3 team. No advantage being sought if first team players need minutes as you say. Apparently ECPL have introduced a retained list system for this season (like to SWPL), some clubs seem to have forgotten who they did have (or didn't have signed on last season) I think recently Torpoint used a Callington first team player in their game against Callington's ECPL side, so it happens all round.

Hi jeff, I'm aware that the majority of callington are callington lads and to be fair to them they have done well this season, they clearly have a settled squad as their results this season are consistent. There is a retainer list yes, but I still disagree with teams playing players who are outside of their club, such as the torpoint example. If you sign for a club, you should only be able to play for those two or three teams, that's it. None of this inter-club stuff. You can say it happens all round, but teams all round are annoyed when it happens to them lol! I just think it should be common sense or else the league will never ever be a true reflection on actual teams performance.

Thanks Macca, I just think its a shame when clubs abuse rules. Club websites are very good to see how many times first team players play for the reserve team, or which reserve team players actually for other clubs! It's interesting when clubs say they "need a hand when short" and yet have a full compliment of substitutes on the bench making way for a one off appearance. I wonder how the league would look if clubs only played club players? Maybe one day well see it but I doubt it

Totally agree Nath, the rules need changing and it might be worth mentioning it at the ECPL AGM.

One man, one club is the most sensible and the most fair rule.

CB5.... Yeh Lucassi played against us and scored a hat trick winning the game 3-2. Humf raises a good point as he is a wadebridge first team player now. I know he played cally firsts last season, but that's not this season. Another example of the rules of the league making a mockery of the league tables.

It's not sulking is it....just saying what happened! One of your first played for torpoint against parkway....why would you moan as It doesn't affect your second team one bit does it. Although in our match, we win that game without you playing lucassi and we are second when you drop 6 places! But no I'm not moaning or sulking just pointing out how the rules allow teams to do these things and how it reads an inaccurate table as a result.

I dont write much on these forums but read a lot and dont believe in slagging refs off, but it was embarrassing how bias the ref was to Torpoint yesterday. Every decision and every 50/50 went their way, as for their penalty it clearly came of our players shoulder no one even appealed, theres getting decisions wrong and then theres favouring a team! We didn't deserve to win and would of obviously taken a point before the game, but the long travel home felt like a loss the way we was robbed.

Morwenstow 6 v 4 st Dom

What a nightmare of a return to my old club . A very close game which for the neutral must of been great to watch . Morwenstow took full advantage of some really bad mistakes at the back which won them the game . We at Dom should of won if it wasn't for the mistakes respect to them they punished us for them and yes I gave away a penalty at 4 4 after being sold short by a back pass . Credit to my old team they kept going for 90 mins and deserved the win .

Was great to see old friends and love the club and the people there . Hope you boys do well this season .

Was a good game down at Roche, we came away very happy with a point as we know it's a difficult fixture down there but also disappointed we didn't take all 3, as u felt we were the better team.

Was a good game, tight as you'd expect in the first half but definitely opened up in the second. Roche took the lead with 20 to go but we responded brilliantly and equalised with 6/7 to go and then hit the post and forced their keeper into a good save in the last few minutes.

Also thought the ref did well, always a tough physical game against Roche but he was consistent to both teams and let the game flow well.

End of the day if u can get the players in and win wether or not they play for anyone else then fair play 1sts 2nds 3rds u play ur strongest team to win so if u can do it then do it

Interesting user name. Were you going to be Ecplspectator but fell victim to that age old problem of the smartphone; too big fingers and too small keyboard? Compounded, in my case, by dodgy eyesight!

was at the torpoint and kirkhampton game and thought Torpoint should of won even though they were well below their best.

Regarding the ref favouring torpoint, i really could not see how that is possible as i was at the end when torpoint scored in the first half and you could clearly see the ball was over the line by about 4 yards but ref didnt give it.

decisions go for you some weeks and some weeks they dont. If your down in the what you call relegation scrap then you believe everything is against you if it doesnt go your way.

Credit to Kirkhampton as they never stopped playing and got something out of the game.
