simmo147 Posted October 20, 2013 Report Share Posted October 20, 2013 You need the skin of a Rhino, When your struggling and losing it's the Managers fault, When your winning and riding high everyone wants to take over. On top of that you have 20+ ego's to deal with all of whom think there the best thing since sliced bread. I for one am considering is it all worth it. I had a fantastic time last season at St. Minver, and was just starting to enjoy myself again at St.Merryn, when once again dark clouds appear. I hope after this weekend we put things to bed and kick on to mount a serious bid for the title. Non of us are perfect , but a winning team should not override a happy team. This is Duchy Football where guys have worked hard all week at various professions to come together on a Saturday to let off steam and enjoy a few beers after. Perspective Guys. There's always going to be some darker moments but luckily most of us have a fantastic bunch of lads to work with. Keep plugging away mate. From what I've seen you've significantly improved 2 clubs. It can be a tough, lonely place in the managers' spot but it can also be joyous and rewarding. Can certainly concur with all the above have had a year out since finishing last year and missed it like crazy, chopping at the bit again if honest but its still nice to watch the boys now and again, just a pity about the politics you get within clubs nowadays sometimes regardless of success but that,s the nature of the beast...lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
