Nemesis
Newquay goalscorer v Illogan, Cameron Bidgood, made a suberb flick over the 'keeper who had closed him down, from the angle of the area, went in 1-0 at HT, deservedly so. Second period and Illogan used their physical height and weight advantage to dominate, although some of the verbal abuse the Newquay kids took from some home players, especially the 'keeper, was disgusting. Poor crowd on a lovely afternoon, less than 30 in total, just 10 Newquay Supporters. Newquay had just two players aged over 19 today, performances like today makes you proud to be a Peppermint, the youth policy is certainly being tested, probably a bit earlier than everyone would have wished for, but the lads who have stepped in have given their all, well done lads. Jamo
Considering nemesis you team had the only player on the pitch that should have seen a red, stop looking through those Newquay tinted glasses, as for you speaking the truth, well if the truth is as you say a poor crowd of under 30 , considering the secretaries grand daughter did a head count of 55 around the pitch excluding any persons that had entered the bar, no surprise that anyone listens to your truth

scott wilson
guys chill out.It was a great game of competetive football today. We do have a majority of U/19`s in our squad and this is mens football.A lot of players get their adrenaline running and if i were playing i`d have had that rush too.Overall illogan hosted us well and beat us fair and square. It was a fantastic game of football and we ran you very close.I don`t think their was an intentionally nasty tackle on the pitch today, but their was some very strong tackles from both sides....oh and thanks for smashing my back doors in.Well done sam for scoring your first goal for illogan, well done cam for putting us 1-0 up with a sublime goal and what a finish for the winner.....put your handbags away girls and leave nemesis alone he was only saying what he perceived and we love nemesis.Bullying? no. Intimidating atmosphere yes, but you`d expect that wouldn`t you.Well played illogan hopefully we`ll get you at mount wise and thanks for the beers and hotdogs...can you get a louder stereo for the warm up? Hi Scott , thanks for the honest sensible post mate, be careful about saying about having your back back doors smashed in tho as some people may think that's a bit dodgy lol! On a serious note Wolsty asked me to offer a very sincere apology for his wayward strike that took the rear screen out of your van, he was genuinely gutted and wanted me to pass it on to you mate, good game today and like you thought played in good spirits, as always a young Newquay team playing football on the deck, keep it up guys and see you in the season
kevin richards
St Just 3 - Redruth 1 Both teams did well to control the ball in a strong wind and a good game ensued. St Just were the better team on the day and should have won by 5 or 6 goals. This was summed up by the Redruth coach in the second half when he admitted, standing just in front of us, that his goal had a charmed life today. Great to see Darren Steadman back leading the attack after a few weeks out with an infection. He was back with his usual burst of speed and scored a beautiful goal midway through the second half with a hard drive through the Redruth defence and into the far corner of the net. Good goals too by Stuart Nicholl (?) and a guest player from Penzance (sorry don't know his name) but he and two of his Penzance team mates looked very sharp and fitted in well with the rest of the Tinners players. Well done Tinners for a good win and for the keeping up the pressure on St Day. Best wishes to Jack Willis who, clashed with the Redruth keeper resulting in both players requiring prolonged attention. The keeper played on after receiving treatment but Jack had to be taken off after being unconscious for some moments. He too tried to play on but had to be withdrawn after showing signs of concussion still. You talk some crap Keith b. Darren Steadman played against us 2 weeks ago at Mullion & the week before at st just !!!!!

mikeyp
I think if you look at the overall picture we deserved the win hitting the woodwork and the Newquay keeper making 3 or 4 good saves. As for bullying our average age is 20 at the mo so more like a play ground fight we have youth and experience in the right areas and the only players booked today were that of Newquay, would like to say a well done to the Newquay gaffer after speaking with him after the game he's doing a great job promoting the youth and good luck to him for the rest of the season x

hansome dan
Went down to Perranwell yesterday and enjoyed a lovely sunny afternoon,Two young sides trying to play football a credit to both clubs, well reffed by Andy Howes who did,nt need to show any cards and good to see some familiar old faces.Draw about the right result as neither team deserved to lose,no moaning no nastiness and both teams encouraging their team mates a great advert for Combo football. Great to see Hayle playing their youngsters, and good luck to Colin in his quest to get a bit of expeirience added to his young squad.Even with my bad back I still managed to beat Kempy to the bar even though he,ll use being on crutches as an excuse.Get well soon Dave and great cup of tea from your mum as usual
MJP
I'll start off the revolution on this forum, some honestly! Falmouth Athletic 1-2 Wendron, athletic the better side in the first half, if it wasn't for Kyle being alert we could have gone in at the break 3-1 down, and we had a couple of decisions go our way! Athletic wanted it more and played some decent football. We improved by working harder in the second half and Worty got the winner with a great header. On a positive note we hopefully won't play as badly again this season, we sneaked a win against a hard working team, with some very good young talent on show. Melville as always has got them organised, and is great at bringing through young, competitive players. Good luck to all at Athletic for the rest of the season.
