Marazion Blues 3-1 Falmouth

Sam Spurrier x 3

Despite being 2 leagues below Marazion, Falmouth gave them a run for their money scoring from the penalty spot late on in the game after having one saved only minutes before. Good bunch of lads at Falmouth and good luck for the season

East :

Welcome Inn 0-2 Grampound

Grampound scorers : Hayden Boxall and Derrick Lucas.

A scrappy game that was reasonably comfortable for Grampound.

Strangely, we have been unable to text in our result as no text has been received from the County.

Gerran and St Mawes 0 2 St Minver

Very pleased with the performance from us today. Some returning key players enabled us to keep a welcome clean sheet and play some attractive football.

impressed by the referee Rodney Campbell, probably the best we have had so far this season.

Halsetown 4 - 0 Camborne Town

Match report later if I get time, if not, none this week as I'm off up to the wilds of Lostwithiel for a few days

*edit* Just in case I don't get time.. Camborne a great bunch of lads, not a bad tackle or word spoken all day, and excellently well refereed as you would expect by Nigel

Premier Sixes 7 Tintagel 2.

Probert x 2, Code x 2, Mitchell, Magor, OG scores for Sixes.

P6 were awful, for first 30mins Tintagel far better side, out muscled us. In the end we had too much going forward but they certainly gave us a scare by roughing us up (hard and fair tackles in the main) in a physical contest and score line doesn't reflect there efforts.

Also the most happy team we've played, a great spirit in their side.

Good luck to Tintagel for rest of the season and thanks for hanging for the sausages and chips.

Four Lanes 0-6 Gulval

No contest from quite early on, Gulval scoring at regular intervals - 3 in the first half, 3 in the second. Even without any subs they never looked in any danger and even swapped their goalkeeper with one of their outfielders midway through the second half. I don't think Four Lanes had a decent shot on target all afternoon.

WEST; CULDROSE 2 ST IVES res 0

Both sides missed good chances first half, pretty equal game throughout, culdrose caught us twice on the break

we managed to hit post second half that was as good as it got for us, good luck in the next round.

Hard place to go is Culdrose.. I'd change your profile a bit though Mark.. says your club is Halsetown... the locals might get suspicious

St buryan 8 cury 1

Fair result best team won on the day, we turned up with 6 players missing for one reason or another resulting in us only having 11 players of which 3 really wouldn't of played if they didn't have to due to carrying injuries. 2-0 at half time one good goal one fluke. With 80 mins gone 4-1 and we had put up a good performance we then collapsed and conceded 4 in the last 10 mins. Thanks to st buryan for providing us with a linesman for each half and that's for the food after. Good luck for the rest of the season from all at cury fc

Ben the Yeti

I'm only judging by how he was today and he was fine. We have certainly had worse!

It was a rather tongue in cheek comment to be honest.. if you're a regular viewer of the Trelawny results, particularly at the end of last season, you'd have seen some rather "choice" remarks made about the man in question..

He did give a penalty against us last season when the ball hit our winger in the nuts...

Carharrack 3 vs Holmans sc 6

First game in 3 weeks for the guys in green which was visible in some parts of our play today. Both teams started well but were unable to get a foot hold on the game and was played in the middle of the pitch for the first 15/20 mins. First major chance of the game fell to Holmans striker dom Pullen who linked up with fellow striker adie hart well but missed his header from 6 yards out putting it past the post. On about 25 mins Holmans finally opened the scoring when Alex (xavi) clark slotted a 25 yard pass to Craig (eggy) Williams who kept his composure to fire past the keeper, 5 minutes later dom Pullen then slotted the ball through for eggy to run onto and once again beat the keeper making it 2-0. Holmans then took the foot of the gas and started playing thinking the game was won but carharrack battled back hard and after a serious of errors from Holmans clearing there lines carharrack struck back with a free header from 7 yards out just going over the head of Charlie Tasker on the near post. After that dom Pullen had another header before half time that just missed the goal.

1-2 half time.

Second half began with Holmans pushing for a 3rd goal, first of all a moment of confusion when Aaron (emo kid) Meredith thought had had scored and looked like the referee had given it only for him to change his mind and award a free kick for an earlier challenge on the keeper which i think was the correct decision. Then just after Aaron ran into the box past the defender Chris scorer to be brought down for one of the most obvious penaltys of the season but the referee waived away the protests much to the disbelief of the Holmans players and relief of the fans to the side of my goal. After that carharrack went searching for an equaliser but the Holmans defence kept them at bay. Then around 55 mins into the game dom Pullen ran/jogged into the channel crossing for veteran partner adie hart to head home his first goal of the season to make it 3-1. 5 mins later it was 3-2 when Holmans failed to organise after a corner the ball got put back in after a throwing and the carharrack player ran in flicking the ball past me into the corner. Holmans and carharrack then battled all over the pitch sharing attacks but neither being able to get a goal until the 71 minute when Ben dawe fired a shot that was to hot to handle for the carharrack keeper who could only parry it back into the path of adie hart who finished past the grounded keeper to make it 4-2. Near enough straight from the kick off carharrack come on the attack and had a slice of fortune when a ball was played left to the right to find their winger in space who sliced his shot back across goal to find a carhartack player on the end of it to tap into a near enough unguarded goal Making the score 4-3. Holmans then put the pressure on again the and in the 82 nd minute captain supremo Jason blight was on hand to score again this season making it 5-3, Holmans were then able to deny and control the rest of the game with there still being time for a hat trick eggy got played through by domo but instead of taking the glory he passed it to 16 year old monty cremer cloutman who scored into the empty net making it 6-3 and booking Holmans into the next round.

a big thank you to all at carharrack for the food after the match (and sorry me and dom ate most of it lol) and good luck for the rest for the season from all of us at Holmans.

Also I hope this was good enough for you pitty.

Camborne Athletic 2.4 mawnan (1.3 h.t)

A game that mawnan was expecting to dominate and could have if the concentrated on playing football instead of falling over on any little touch from a Camborne player. Very disappointed with their attitudes towards the game and trying to influence the ref by moaning about everything the ref however andy mcknight was very gd and despite their moaning was really good.

However the lads of Camborne athletic (trelawny 5) done very well against their trelawny premier opposition and gave them a game n made it hard for them. Could have bin a dif game if Camborne hadn't missed 2 open goals from the same lad an was awarded a clear pen wch the ref missed due to an awkward angle.

All the same good luck to mawnan for the rest of the season.

Reasonably fair write up, we did manage a shot that beat the keeper but just wide in about 85th min lol tbf was like a training session for me in the Fourlanes goal with shot after shot, nice to see some familiar faces like Rhonda, boris and jowan and best of luck next round!

On a sour note our right mid Ben has had to go to hospital after a pointless and nasty tackle midway thro 1st half so hoping hes ok!

Mawnan given a decent game by Camborne Athletic today. Mawnan always comfortable being 2-0 and 4-1 up but lack of concentration twice let Camborne back in the game. Last 25 minutes a bit flat.

Missed penalty from Mawnan also.

Didnt notice much diving or moaning from us but that maybe that's just us Premier division primadonnas.

Good luck to Camborne Athletic for the rest of the season.

Good refereeing from Andy McKnight as well

East :- callington 1-2 st merryn Fairly even contest. Merryn went 1-0 up with a thunderbolt from Ashley Rescorla and it stayed 1-0 until half time. Callington came out quicker off the blocks in 2nd half and got a long rage equaliser and Merryn got back in the lead straight away from Luke Worrall. Callington missed a penalty and Merryn missed many chances to go ahead further and held out for the win. A very good game with a good sized crowd and good luck to callington for the rest of the season
