No ref again

Penryn 4ths third game of the season tonight and for the third game there will be no ref. We have been told we have to play anyway even though it is a derby against Falmouth Atletic.

Another near casualty... the FHFL 3 game on Saturday;

Helston Ath III v Camborne Park

was going to be called off, but instead I will now be reffing it as a club official... not something I want to do, but as it was a choice of that or the game being called off, I reckoned I'd just have been a bas*ard not to do it. Still, it shouldn't be as bad as refereeing it as a neutral referee, because then I'm expected to be perfect, at least this way I can have an excuse for my mistakes. Still, sucks that I won't be able to play.

gashead1980 you did,nt have to play the game but if you call off the game every time you have no ref you won,t finish the season! Tony Bowers done an excellent job even though he is not an official, I felt he gave you the benefit of the doubt for your first goal as it could have been hand ball and our first goal looked offside 2 each a fair result from the referees point but you probably feel that at 2 nil you done enough to take all 3 points, no-one like to let a lead slip like that!
