cornishteddyboy
Looks like goals flying in everywhere today Penzance Reserves 1-6 St Agnes. Times 5 mins 0-1 34mins 0-2 39mins 1-2 46mins 1-3 73mins 1-4 77mins 1-5 90mins + 1 1-6 Penzance stay bottom. Game played in good spirit, well reffed. Crowd 51 which isn't bad as Pirates were away, Mounts Bay were at home, the Cornish Gorsed was in the park next door plus we are bottom of the league. jollyman
Newquay 3 v 0 Mullion A comfortable win really but Mullion fourght hard and held out until about 55mins. Leon Holland bagged his 3rd and 4th goals of the season and Luke Wheldon capped a great display with the third. Andy Harris was our man of the match. Played in great spirit by both sides and an excellent game from the ref again - we have been blessed with a high standard of referees this year - so often villified and unjustly so, I reckon. Top half of the table for us now - unchartered lands...and a game in hand !

Paparazzi
Can confirm the St Just 2 v Porthleven Reserves 2 score Fair to say Porthleven dominated the 2nd half? Scorers were Shane Richards for St Just, and Craig Firth and Nick Perry for Porthleven.

Weeman
Hayle res 4-0 Wendron res Hayle goals by Lee Patchet 1 Chris Bullock 2 Kieran Harris 1 Being one of the three teams promoted this season any points gained are welcome with survival our main aim this season. We feel we are good enough to do better than that but time will tell, if we play like we did today and last saturday we should be ok. We started quick out the block and put Wendron under pressure from kick off, we went one up through Lee Patchet and played some nice football, Davey Cheal pulled off a great save to stop wendron equalising and we controlled the game from then on with Chris Bullock scoring to give us a two nil lead at half time it could have been more. Wendron came out for the second half up for it and Davey Cheal had to make another good save, from then on it was same story as first half we controlled game and missed more chances before Chris Bullock scored our third and his second, then Keiron Harris scored to make it four nil a well deserved win.7 points from 9 happy with that. But a hard season ahead for both teams new to this league. Good luck to Wendron for rest of season. :drink:

Guest Helston Patriot
Just a quick note to add; Jon Blundell, good player and equally nice bloke. Alex Sharkey marked him very well... SHame perranwell didn't have a proper 'keeper either. ROLL ON MULLION!!!! P.S. THANKS/WELL DONE ST.IVES , PROVED THAT TRURO WONT WALK THIS LEAGUE! local_boy
It was a disappointing result for us as they scored with around 5 minutes to go, they didnt look anything special and I thikn its not going to be as easy as they thought, I think your outfit is much better than theirs helston patriot! Soccer Follower
I was told that Perranwell's goalkeeper failed to arrive at Helston yesterday for the Jolly's Combination match and they had to play an outfield tghere in his place. Is this correct? Guest Helston Patriot
That's right. One of their midfielders went in goals and made some good saves to keep the score down. Seemingly nobody knew why he didn't turn up.
