Guest Postie Pidge
Very similar to the other post but as well as taking part in the poll, list the good things and bad things that would go with the move.
cornishteddyboy
Good reasons for moving Financial stability Prospect of playing in the "Stadium for Cornwall" in the future Larger catchment area for picking up players Wages? Bad reasons for moving No support for ladies football in Truro Loss of team for Newquay youngsters Pressure of wear and tear on Truro's pitch Playing football in an empty stadium Extra travelling for home games
Guest neild
Plus side: Only NQY management should know what is best for their club? Truro should have a womens team with their backing - and the expenses in the National league must be high They should be able to gather the best talent from everywhere, and will have the future facilities Minus NQY now will have no team in the area. Goonhavern and Truro already folded prior to this What about all the previous hard work to get this all set up at NQY This will have an effect on the other local teams - especially if all the old "Truro" girls return. Why can't they set up their own team in competition - what is wrong with it taking a year or two Truro previously folded as they had no players and second team had no pitch? Anita
Pros MONEY Cons If they lose Truro will buy new players in and get rid of the girls that got the team to where they are now. and if the managment are not up too standard i'm sure it wont take long to replace them. The Gooner
They won't have any trouble finding the ground as most of them played there last season?
Guest Peppermint
I don't know where The Gooner gets his information from but the vast majority of Newquay Ladies team were at Mount Wise last season. It is possible that one or two have joined Newquay from the now defunct team at Truro from last season. So why the comment that they won't have any trouble finding their way to Treyew Road!
