cornishteddyboy Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 Who remembers either playing or watching RAF St Mawgan play football at St Eval? I do. The club played there in the Combo off and on from it's inception in 1959 to the club left the league in 1995-96. Shame on them, they want to sell the land to a developer! http://www.thisiscornwall.co.uk/Race-time-save-village-assets/story-19192230-detail/story.html#axzz2VKgk7r8S
Scooby Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 Loved playing up there as it was our forces derby even though we were so geographically detached. A couple of pints and some 10 pin bowling after. Shame when they left the Combo.

manutdfcok Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 Played there in the sunday league in the 90s . Cant remember who against. It was quite a good pitch. And back to their clubhouse after the game for a cheap pint. Shame it might go.

I remember playing there in the Sunday League on the day that Princess Diana died against the RAF team and I thought that it was odd that the game wasn't called off as a mark of respect. Ps I scored that day and I think Tim Lloyd got the other one!
