Nelly Furtado
Its set up as 2 up 2 down. But you then have to factor in each div needs 16 teams. You then work from top to bottom. So... Prem Redruth go to combo and prob holmans relegated from combo. Only 15 teams in the div this year so only 1 team goes down Div 1 2 teams promoted to get prem up to 16 teams. Again only 15 teams in the league so only 1 relegated. Div 2 3 teams promoted to get div 1 back up to 16 teams. 2 teams relegated Div 3 4 teams promoted. 2 relegated Div 4 4 teams promoted. 2 relegated Div 5 4 teams promoted I think that is correct!!! If a team can't be promoted due to having a team from their club in the div above I think that the next placed team gets promoted but I may be wrong. Hope that helps! Big Breakfast
I think you have got that spot on Nelly. I think the league should have made teams more aware of the potential for this to happen. Perhaps then some teams may have known they had more to play for, even if they weren't going to make the top two.
Guest BenTheYeti
Will it not be affected by the addition of new teams Neil? I'm sure you are definitely the man who would know!

cornishteddyboy
From the FA Trelawny website Premier Division Relegation 18/01/13 20:22 Impact of Holman SC retaining their Combination League status. The constitution of the Divisions as decided at the Annual General Meeting included Holman SC within the Premier Division. Subsequently, Holman SC retained their Combination League status. This matter was discussed at the Management Committee meeting on 11th July and it was decided that Holman SC would be deemed to have withdrawn from the League and that as a result, under League Rule 12b(ii)only ONE team shall be relegated from the Premier Division at the conclusion of the 2012-13 season. skyblueref
I think you'll find all relegations and promotions will take place first, with the statutory 2up 2down, and then the divisions are shuffled to fill gaps with 2 spaces in div 5 up for grabs at AGM. No doubt you'll make the journey across Dan? You've been one of our best away supporters this year! But yes, Penryn play tonight vs Falmouth in a derby, against St Ives on Wednesday, and away at some place called Halsetown on Friday, needing 9 points to clinch third (or 7 points and 20 goals if they beat St Ives)
