This is taken from the Downderry Rovers clubwebsite page; Going into the game with more belief than ever after their draw earlier in the month against St.Dennis, the Rovers matched the cup holders in their own backyard and nicked a goal minutes before half time thanks to an individual piece of skill from Paul Kessel who plucked the ball from the air, spun through two towering defenders and put the ball through to Darren Harvey who tucked it passed the keeper. A well deserved goal after 45 minutes of some of Downderry's best football all season.The second half was much different with St.Dennis pressurising constantly but were thwarted by the persistant efforts of the outfield team in Orange, but hero of the day goes to Keeper Barrie Collings who pulled off countless saves throughout the game, leaving the best till the last kick of the game as a deflected shot was bound for the bottom left hand corner until Collings turned it around the outside of his right upright.
