Newquay Town FC were a 'junior' club who played just one season 1936/37, they were obviously not too bad as they were Runners-Up in the Junior Cup.

Anyway, Newquay AFC. as the club have been known since Noah sailed the Ark up the River Gannel, will be at Bolitho Park tonight, home of the Citys 2nd or 3rd club (depending upon the result). I have no idea of the squad who will take the pitch, but can confirm that no more than a dozen Peppermints fan will bother turning up. Apparently, there is another game where amazingly, an amount of people who own a pair of football boots, sufficient to start a game, have been found to go to St Ives, some fans finding a 6.30pm kick off more suited to their sleep patterns.

Good luck to parkway as they seek promotion, but even more luck to the Peppermints and thanks for a solid first season at this level.

Not a great game by any means tonight ,with both sides pretty much cancelling each other out .It was inevitable that we would be a bit flat after Saturday's exploits , we seem to have made a habit of following up superb away victories with flat home performances this season The penalty did seem very harsh ,but to use the old football cliche "I've seen them not given ."

It did all come down to the very nervous last 20 minutes or so that some of us had predicted, with both Ryan Richards and Paul Heveran missing glaring chances ,and the constant worry that Danny Brook would find his shooting boots .

We managed to see it out ,it's now down to the committee to make the decision on where we play our football next season .

Great effort last night lads. A very nervey performance and several good opportunities missed ( eh... Hevs ... lol ).

Perfectly slotted penalty Strings ,well done mate.

Good team performance , men of the match for me : John Heveran , Will Stringer and Lance Bailey.

Well done to the Management team and to the committee for all of their effort too.

Looking forward to next season which ever league we are in.
