Bodmin 2 (J.Heveran og.(I think),Carter pen ) Parkway 4 (Richards 3,Griffiths) (Half Time 1-2)

Top two finish and the Western League next season is still on !

Bodmin may have taken their foot off the gas and had one eye on Monday's Cup Final ,but Parkway were the better side throughout and unrecognisable from the team who trudged off against Elburton Villa 10 days ago .

We started the brighter with Lance Bailey testing Kevin Miller from distance, before Ryan Richards opened the scoring inside 3 minutes . Had a feeling it might be our day when Adam Carter headed against the bar from inside the 6 yard box , and then had a point blank header brilliantly saved by Ben Elphick . Bodmin put us under pressure when Shane Krac came off the bench ,but Richards completed a superb hat trick to tie the game up . The penalty that Carter tucked away late in the game was a mere consolation .It was almost enough to shut up the bloke that we suspect could have been Beaker in the stand

Top notch away performance with Richards,Bailey,Warren Daw and Jamie Bass in particular having outstanding games . Just one more big performance is needed against Newquay on Tuesday. Should be quite a night .

Incidentally , for any statisticians out there , who was the last player to score a league hat trick against Bodmin at Priory Park ? We couldn't think of anybody .

Great to see Derek and the boys down at Godolphin lift the Champions trophy today!!!! Great team performance today against an understrength Vospers side, heard they were missing 7/8 first team players and it showed, had a team full of U'17 and 2nd team players but credit to them for fighting all the way to the final whistle. Derek and his management team seem to have the side playing some great football and think they will cause some upsets next year in the Prem and be more than capable of holding their own!!!! Congratulations to all concerned at Godolphin..........up the G army!!!!!!

Ivybridge 2 - 2 St Austell

Ivybridge went 1 - 0 within the first 7 mins and doubled their lead after 21 mins, they should have gone in at half time with at least one more, with the striker doing everything right, up till he lifted the ball over the keeper only for it the rebound back off the bar to safety. Things started to go against the home team when the Ivybridge centre midfielder was sent off mins before the interval for a silly incident trying to the ball back from the St Austell player off the field of play, the linesman having instructed the ref that it was a red cad offence! Ivybridge, however, were well worth their 2 - 0 lead.

HT Ivybridge 2 - 0 St Austell

The 10 men of Ivybridge were still causing the away team a few problems on the break, with some more composure could have extended the lead. Ivybridge managed to keep the score line at 2 - 0 until 20 mins from time, after a through ball caught the defence sleeping. The extra man was starting to show with them having a lot more of the ball and causing the home to become stretched at the back. The equalising goal came 11 mins from time, the scuffed cross coming in from the right some how managed to settle in the Ivybridge goal, if asked to do it again.... never in a month of Sundays!!

I'm sure the St Austell keeper must have had a stop watch cause every time the Ivybridge keeper had the ball he constantly whined to the ref that he held on to it for 14 secs.....

FT Ivybridge 2 - 2 St St Austell

Crowd - just short of a 100.......
