SWPL Results & tables - 27th April 2013 (we are officially pants)

Recommended Posts

Another win for St.Austell. Lucky not to be more than 1 down at half time but 4 goals in 15 minutes in 2nd half sealed another win. Been expecting a 'flat' performance after so many games in such a short space of time but thankfully did enough to win comfortably in the end. Hopefully keep up the run of results at Cully in the week - should secure 4th place....even 3rd if results go our way

Witheridge 5-1 Penzance

One chance left for us to record a win!

Paul-Not the worst record at this level and above,

Woodford United (Daventry,Northants) who play in the Southern League Div.1 Central (step 4)

Played 42 Lost 42 Goals For 21 Against 185

Although today was one of their better results losing 1-2 to 3rd place Godalming Town

I think Penzance will be happier than Falmouth as they can regroup next season in the SWPL div.1 West

Falmouth who lost 1-5 at Elburton Villa today may be the "Penzance" for 2013-14.

Another good win, hopefully they can keep this form going and win the last three matches and Parkway lose to Bodmin then we could secure 3rd place. 2nd place is a distant possibility as Elburton have to play Bodmin, then we would have to rely on them not beating Falmouth, which is very doubtful, However 4th place at the least is an excellent finish. Who scored the goals today ? Any idea of the attendance ?

Well done Lee. At least you don't try to make excuses or blame the ref etc.

I look forward to reading your honest reports.

All the best in your last few games

Wasn't nothing to do with the ref today, he was good we were shocking and cally fully deserved the 3 points

Newquay 0-2 Torpoint

Fully deserved result. Nqy suffered 2 injuries early on - a hamstring and then a serious looking ankle injury to Jamie Divine, ambulance took him away. 3rd and last sub was goalie so Tom Blackler finished the game as a striker.

Nothing from Nemesis this evening?? Ref to blame? Lino? Deffo pen not given? Come on give us your report through those rose tinted glasses!

Not sure why you are so interested Bagman, but as you ask so nicely, I will tell you what I gathered from the @NewquayAFC twitter feed. Jack Bray-Evans off after 6 mins with Hamstring. Jamie Devine off after 25 mins, suspected broken ankle. Torpoint went one up on 27 mins. Hooper had to do team talk on pitch as changing room being used by paramedics attending to Devine.

Second half, Josh Sims had to off injured, only sub left was Sam Trudgian (GK) who went in goal, Blackler went up front. Torpoint made it 0-2. Weldhen hit post, had one cleared off the line.

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend and therefore can only tell you what was given out online.

Completley one sided affair today at Priory Park, credit must go to Liverton for competing until the final whistle, but some wonderful finishing by Bodmin. You dont seem positive Mike? Afew sides have been beaten at Elburton this season... & sides like Torpoint, Newquay, Liskeard will finish in the bottom half with you by the looks of it. Are Glenn Squires, Ross Pope, still playing for falmouth town?

I dont no the facts but i heard that the boys were owed money, but what a time to leave and dont agree with that. Were is the loyalty to the club?, see the season out then go i say, as not that many games to go. If the club has done that then the club is wrong aswell as they should of told the truth that dont look good on them. Can see both sides.

Witheridge 5-1 Penzance

Good result for Witheridge but a tad unfair on Penzance who played the far better football in the first half but found themselves going in a goal down at half time.

The second half however was a different story with Witheridge bossing the second period which included Jordan Charran completing his hat-trick which has now taken his personal league tally to 32 goals for the season so far. Penzance finished the match with ten men after their captain was shown red after a second bookable offence.

Good Luck to Penzance next season as they are a cracking club with genuine followers and officials and hopefully will come back strong next season.

Sounds like thats what your hoping for Big Al..has someone upset you from the falmouth camp, your not the former manager are you? If so slightly in debted cos i doubt Newquay would have the guys from Bickland if your money hadnt ran dry!! In all seriousness i do hope Falmouth turn the corner which im sure they will. Also good luck to the peppermints for last couple games up in deep devon

Any truth in the rumour of a new regime taking over at St Austell?

It's funny you should say that, because at the St.Austell - St.Blazey game I also heard the same rumor!

'Apparently' a certain manager has been spreading the word that he will be the St.Austell manager next season!

After what can only be described as a fantastic season for the Lilywhites, I'd be very surprised to see any change in management...

Can't believe this rubbish. Somebody is trying to stir things up. Dan & Kelvin have done a fantastic job this season, no need for change - just give them more support.
