zeilly05
i was looking at a cornishman from 2008 yesterday and i couldn't believe the difference between the write ups for the combo results then and now. you had good match reports, team line ups, subs used and for who etc etc. what do we get now? very little. why has it got so bad? sometimes it's hardly worth reading! Jamo
Ludgvan 2 illogan 0 Good game in very windy conditions! Personally thought a draw would have been a fair result, both teams rattling the bar twice and the ludgvan keeper overall the more busy but 2 cracking strikes with the wind at their backs got ludgvan the points! Good luck to ludgvan and see you again in a few weeks time!
Mama Sidibe
Mullion 3-2 Goonhavern Joe Carlyon and Marc Wilson scored for Goonhavern. How we didn't get anything out of this game I'll never know. Admittedly we weren't great first half and went in 1-0 down at half time after conceding a sloppy goal which started from our own corner. Second half we dominated and equalised before Mullion restored their lead when their striker barged Chris Sturgess in the back and finished well. We drew level again and then scored to take the lead only for the referee to rule that it had not crossed the line from some 40 yards behind play. He also chose not to consult the Mullion linesman not that such would've made any difference as he was not qualified and was roped into helping out after a Mullion sub had done the first half shift. Much to our annoyance, Mullion then went down the other end and scored their third. Again it was arguable that there was a foul in the lead up, however, we didn't help ourself when we (our 'keeper) was more concerned with shouting at the referee whilst the ball was lofted into the box onto the head of the Mullion striker. All the best to Mullion. As for us, we've now lost three on the bounce all by one goal whereas we could've easily taken 4-7 points. Onto Culdrose on Tuesday. Granty
Emile Owen with great over head kick for athletic - Poor game but Pendeen deserved the win against a very under strength Athletic side. Well Done Pendeen and good luck for the rest of season. Cheers Granty
Guest BenTheYeti
St Ives 1 - 0 RNAS Culdrose St Ives Goalscorer: Ian Hodges Good performance from St Ives today, especially with several regulars missing and a couple of lads stepping up from the reserves to fill in. The goal came from one of these, as Andy Barry beat his man wide out on the left and sent in a great cross, which was converted by Hodgey with a side foot volley. Should have gone into the break 2-0 up, when Trystan Lambert was played in over the top and shoved over in the box, but the keeper guessed right from the resulting penalty and pushed it to safety. Second half was more huff and puff than goal scoring chances, though St Ives missed two good chances to extend their lead, with James Worrall and Jake Cook putting over when well placed Culdrose were full of endeavour but I can't remember them testing the keeper, though Andy Barry did have to hook one away which was either going wide or just clipping the post. WendronOfficial
Sam Care with Wendron goal. Really didnt turn up yesterday, no quality or desire. Few talented youngsters and some real triers for Newquay, Flacky had them trying to play the right way and they were well led by Macca. All the best
